    Bastards! Vultures!
My condolences to the last of the Mohegans who hoped that one day Nokia would resurrect (of course after Elop's corporate death). What were proud Finns thinking?
100% agree with the mole comment! Elop should not only be investigated but neutered for doing this to this famed brand!

I will not buy Lumia 1020, rather I will buy old used pureview 808. It has the true Nokia soul and heart.

It was evident from the 1st day that Elop's intention wasn't bringing Nokia to it's glory but dragging it down to MS foots, so they can buy it. What a crooked, failed CEO he was. On the other hand, if Nokia investers smart enough they could've seen this is coming in year 2011 when they had MeeGo and N9. They are to blame in first place for having blind eye to what is happening in market. For god sake, they should've gone through GSMArena comments to understand their loyal Nokia customers. We grow with Nokia, we have so many memories with Nokia, but they din't respect that loyalty.

Man this guy Elop should be investigated for illogical moves and intentions all along, I mean clearly it all looks murky and nobody is doing anything about it. Look at the way he is running away from the company. Disgraceful.

AnonD-173097, 04 Sep 2013Yeah but the partnership with Intel was a better idea than ... moreN9 should have been given time to prove its mettle. But Elop on the day of announcing it said they are killing Meego. That was deliberate and totally wrong. He is a Microsoft (ex)-employee and his decision to dump Meego and go for WP was not made entirely in Nokia's interest. They could have easily continued with both. And not to forget Meego had full Google Play support with Dalvik VM. N9 was not dual-core but it was comparable to other flagships of its time i.e. Galaxy S II etc. in performance.

Nokia would have still been in the game had Elop let Meego survive. Intel was not happy with Elop's decision and everybody saw Microsoft's hand in it. Everybody has been proven right now. The entire Meego team, the directors and core professionals from Nokia's N9 team left Nokia and formed Jolla in an attempt to continue the N9's legacy. Elop had turned away everybody for his loyalty to Microsoft and to make MS happy. Now what has been done. MS just to get a stronger foothold in mobile phone design, manufacturing, marketing and support have destroyed a brand that "is synonymous to a mobile phone" in many parts of the world. Elop was more concerned about the fact that people see Nokia's association with WP as absolute and complete than to understand what market and consumers expect from a Nokia. Elop's stint at Nokia became MS's entry into mobile phone world. This doesn't look like work of a good CEO. This looks like the handiwork of a mole.

Skype was bought for 8.5 Billion, and Nokia in bits and pieces, parts hand picked by the mole over a course of 2.5 years.

By the way, the little miracle of seeing an android device manufactured by Nokia, died this morning. Good Bless Us...

nokia made a good decision to sell the mobile department of their company. but do not think they are finished. they owned a large collection of patents used by most major mobile companies. and to those who are talking about nokia not going to used Android, well, they recently made Vertu Ti luxury phone with android. Nokia is still part of the Vertu mobile and continue to be the manufacturer of the handsets. check this website:http://www.vertu.com/
