"Steve Ballmer pointed to the Lumia 1020 as an example of what the companies have done together" WT**??

Nokia never needed MS help to build a 41mp monster.
They ve done it in past.
Always thought that Nokia can make a comeback.
Elop proved that he was a MicroTrojan!!!

I think the Lumia lineup will be okay.

I'm worried about the future of Nokia's featurephones.
They're fantastic devices. And the future looks pretty uncertain for them.

Anonymous, 03 Sep 2013"In cash" doesn't mean in paper bills. So can you think of other meaning for that? haha.

@topic: Nokia, was one of the best brands before. They even crushed Motorola back then.. Samsung was not that competitive yet so they were behind. Before, once you own a Nokia phone, you're the best, you're in, people will envy you. So whatever happens at Nokia today, it's the management's fault. And to you Mr. Elop, my MIDDLE finger salutes you for bringing nokia down.

It was said since the beginning. Elop was there for this. They did everything for diminish the price of Nokia. If Nokia would sell Android, then today they would be on the top again. IT WAS CRIMINAL.

Nokia board of director made a bad decision of employing an ex-Microsoft employee as CEO, that resulted in "windows OS only" approach for smartphones, now they are in debt to Microsoft and are not bought over.... a good corporation swallowed by a giant for greed.... no passion here..... sad ... very sad.....

It was Microsoft's plan to acquire Nokia from the start. That is why they made windows phone 8 and asked Nokia to only make windows 8 Smartphones.

Since windows 8 doesn't have much features or apps Nokia was stuck with crappy OS and couldn't do anything , and now Microsoft will acquire Nokia for cheap and after that Microsoft will launch many new apps, games and new features..

Sorry Nokia, but any fool will understand that going all windows was a wrong decision when market is dominated by Android.

                              I'll miss N70 , N73 , N82 , N97 , N8 , 5800XM and most of all N-gage

"the burning platform" Symbian should have done more justice to NOKIA than going with the cold and blue Windows phone..
MR. ELOPE is not new in bringing down
companies..he was the CIO for "Boston
Chicken" in 1992, which filed for Chapter 11
                                bankruptcy in 1998.(Courtsy:WIKI)..If NOKIA
goes down in the current pace..it can be
another golden feather in MR. ELOPS head..he
can be very proud of bringing one of the top
reputed companies to bankrupcy and handing it over to ms..
                                :-(:-(

Totally a good news. That means i can still buying nokia window phone. I never like nokia to jump to android. That platform is unstable. I prefer window. If android fanboy want nokia. Do come to window. Or just stay at android buying cheapmsamsung hardware. Peace

So we can forget about a Nokia Android device.

In a few years Nokia will diminish and finally they'll shut this division completely. In 3 years Microsoft was unable to bring a competing mobile OS to the market so what can we expect?

Microsoft's Windows 8 desktop OS is a complete fail, designed probably in a bar after a few drinks, by a guy that thought tablets and desktops are the same. So we have those tiles on desktops. I think Apple will surpass Microsoft's OS sales in a few years.
