My phone is still on Android 10 and won't get any more updates. I've been using it as my daily driver and all apps and features work fine except some overheating sometimes. Also it has a sluggish eMMC storage of only 64GB. How many more years do you think I could keep using this phone with Android 10?

Since past few years all android phones are litterary same noone cares much to be honest.
For me years of updates were always lot more important than number of updates because i swap everytime my warranty goes off just to avoid risk of expensive repair if accident happens.

Personally, would rather have a stable version of the software and latest security patches over having to have the new version first. I just want my phone to work.

Nah, Android 10 is still the best

Samsung had started making us question norms. When was getting the latest Android ever a bad thing?
Now, just because a single software developer (OneUI) decides to revamp their entire interface and it ran into some issues, we're now beginning to raise skeptical questions about something that was never condemned.
This is just sad. I feel like they should just skip it and move to Android 16 cause it's pretty late now.

Still using Oneplus 7 pro with android 12. But i wish i had android 15 or 16.

The real changes are made by companies like Oppo. I'd always like to have the latest version of ColorOS, but security patches are the main thing for me. My Reno13 came with ColorOS 15 and has the April patch already, so I'm happy. Which Oppo do you have?

I have Huawei y max on android 8. But I can't see any difference between it and 15. The most basic tasks can be done easily regardless its specs and it's low camera. Updates always suck since android 7.

Don't give a single update after launch. Not an issue. But price should not be more than 200 dollars for a flagship.

Android is really saturated, I don't see much differ for years. People arguing about updates and finally gain nothing.

Windows indeed getting bad, still, it's interesting to have full windows on phones.

New alternative is a long road for imperfections.

Those who released phones with Android 14 installed even though Android 15 had already been released, such as the Redmi Note 14 series in the West for example, didn't necessarily do so to get people to buy a phone from their more expensive series, because it was clear from the beginning that they would update the phones to Android 15 shortly after their release. In any case, the point is that this survey wouldn't exist if Samsung had not held Android 15 back.

I could upgrade to A15 if I wanted to, my phones all run custom ROMs, just been lazy to.

would rather have an amazing phone for like 250 with one android update and keep it for 4-5 years, than a much worse one but promises 10 android updates

Samsung is not a special case--most of them are guilty in this.

I have been using an Android 10 device for years now and I assure you guys it barely even changed when using Android 15. Android versions are just that stale. Plateaued. What matters more are security updates, if you use banking apps.

If only other OS aside from iOS and Android exists, then pretty sure we aren't getting stale this quickly.
