I hope all smartphone companies can participate in this project, it will produce quite good results in development, so that there will be more new things, so that it is not monopolized by just Google.

American spyware(Google I guess)
Or
Chinese Spyware(who knows and it could be worse or better or both)
It's like you guys have to choose who to spy on your activities and information and stuff.

In Huawei harmonyOS you can't even use outlook. If you're American or European just don't use Chinese phones. Do you trust them not spying on you? And even if you do, is buying a product from kinda enemy morally justified?

This will only happen if Trump decides to ban every other Chinese brand from Google. It's not like Huawei had a choice in having Google removed from its phones. But if that's what Trump wants then Chinese phone makers have contingency plans, either run Googleless Android or adopt Open harmony. Each brand may do things differently.

Android without Google? Android IS Google, and you have to rely on AOSP anyway, which relies on Google updating it for the most part. And all of them are Google free anyway in China
Or do you mean making your own OS like HarmonyOS? Meh, these OEMs don't have the incentive, money, nor capacity to do proper software.
If they went Google free in global market, nobody would buy them, Samsung will decimate them.
