Xiaomi, Oppo, vivo and OnePlus are rumored to be exploring the idea of Android without Google

02 May 2025
Xiaomi is said to lay the groundwork for that with HyperOS 3. Huawei is allegedly also involved with the project - the company already has its own Google-free platform.

I use it on ALL my Android phones, and tablets. I usually just disable the bloat for safety sake BUT, the app also allows you to UNINSTALL anything and everything you want! Therein lies the danger of uninstalling something you wish you didn't! The app also allows you to save the APK of the uninstalled items so you can restore them if needed. Of course if you brick your phone first by uninstalling something you shouldn't then you will have to do a factory reset. But to address your concern the answer is YES all apps can be uninstalled from any Android device!

And let's not talk about some populations arround the north of their country, if you understand what I mean.

nemesis8, 02 May 2025well in a way, Android without Google is already present in chinaRight. And the Chinese government fully control it. Even if govt ask from smartphone company to user personal data , they provide it without any consent of the users.
                  Sad.

                  That is China.

You are absolutely right. We shouldn't depend on a single software provider. And we, as much as possible, should use free and open source software.
People, like in general, became tired with Google, but to its credit, it is the initiator of AOSP. Many ather developers decided to keep the code of their software closed.

Every manufacurer should do this. I'm sick and tired of Google.

Actually the main different from MiUI and HyperOS is about the android,.
MiUI is AOSP with Xiaomi UI
HyperOS is a whole new OS, not the AOSP.
The android stuff is just on top of the HyperOS
