Samsung should've waited another year and launch a proper S25/S26 Edge with at least 5200-5400 mAh. Now that would be correct!

Pumpino, 18 May 2025Terrible battery life, terrible cameras and a terrible UI, ... moreIt's a flagship just as much as the Poco F7 Ultra is, but somehow with far worse specs, yet double the price. The cost of this phone might be the only reason why this one is called a flagship and the F7 Ultra isn't.

Wesker, 18 May 2025I agree for the most part but why terrible cameras ? It has... moreWell, actually no it doesn't have the same main sensor from the Ultra. Same resolution yes, but it's the ISOCELL HP5, not the HP2 and it's not just a smaller sensor, but an actually tiny one for the price, same size as the S25/S25+ but with more resolution, which isn't a good thing on such a small sensor.

I managed to get my hands-on this thing. The thickness difference, even when compared with S25, is barely observable. The weight difference was noticeable, but not by as much as when comparing iPad Pro M4 and iPad Air M2.

Terrible battery life, terrible cameras and a terrible UI, but it must be a flagship because of its chip and because it costs a lot from a well known brand. What a joke.

I'm going to hold my final opinion on it until I handle the phone personally. So far, I like the target weight. I'm getting tired of phones going more than 200g. Technology should advance towards miniaturization, not getting bulkier and heavier. So lighter phones are good in my book.
But I'm skeptical about the actual dimensions. I'm still in the camp of the regular Galaxy S to be the almost perfect size for a phone with flagship features. So gotta hold it in person to see if the thinness would offer better handling.
In short, this is the future. Battery tech was the bottleneck for smaller/lighter phone. Now the tech is here. Can't wait for the future versions of these slim phones with denser batteries. The S25 Edge is clearly a test for the new design, and I would definitely be excited for future iterations of the concept.

The concept of thin phones isn't new, the below average specs that come with a thin device aren't new either, the price however is new, just not in a good way. So what's actually so revolutionary about this device?

4000mah is suboptimal, but you can live with it even if you use your phone significantly. Not the phone for gorilla descendant me though, frailty concerns.

Not the right phone for anybody. Its e-waste, and harms your wallet as well as the environment.

When the price drops and if it does, well to have it as a second option and just because it is light, yes, but only if it drops to a fair price.
