It took them 5 years since their first try at making Android phones to get where they are now. A bit more patience and hopefully if they don't sell off to Microsoft, it's not impossible for Nokia to get back at the top again.

8.8 million phones? That's peanuts compared to how many units Samsung sold in the same periods. Nokia fanboys should stop being in the illusion Nokia is doing well. It's simply not. In fact, Nokia's phone section suffered a lost. It was their other sections that recovered from it.

lumia sales are horrible considering all most of them are 100$ 520 that it sold at a loss.
nokia bleeding money and it not working, no wonder why they were looking into android before microsoft bought them

samsung is selling 1 million per day.
they sell in a week what nokia selling a quarter.

and before changing to windows phone nokia sold more than samsung and apple combine

It's funny cos it doesn't make any sense! I'm wondering if they have any one in their brand management!!

How many current Asha users will dump their current (not too long released) for the new home line up?

How many current Lumia users will dump their current (some countries just got the 1020 this week) for the new 1320 and 1520 which in the first place is for a tiny market portion (phablet users - 6" as the that)

They need to employ intelligent people for business development!

                Nokia is finished! !!!

AnonD-27765, 29 Oct 2013My criticisms are all reasonable.I beg to differ my friend. When I listen to the arguments from both sides, whether samsung vs apple, samsung vs nokia...it all comes across as preference. And once someone doesn't agree with another, overused criticisms are used again and again without ever achieving anything.

To me, reasonable would be to point out pros and cons to varying devices. Instead you only get negatives. But at least I get a laugh when I read the comments.

More reason for the Nokia shareholders to say NO to the Micro$haft offer. Too little money and Nokia is doing just fine with the Lumia and the new Asha 501 (soon to be joined by the 500, 502 and 503).

Microsoft should be paying almost double for the mobile acquisition with these new numbers.

Samsung is now selling 1 million mobile devices (all mobile devices incl. tablets, smartphones, dumb phones etc.). Nokia actually sold about 710 000 mobile devices per day in the last quarter(64,6million in Q3) and is ranked second after Samsung in that regard still. Small player eh..

On the other hand. We may be seeing the last financial report of such a legendary company. It's sad to see it's getting sold-out like that. I still believe Nokia can do alone without selling themselves to Microsoft. 2 Million from last quarter to 8.8 record sales same quarter. Profits have been found instead of heavy losses. This is not the sign of a company going insolvent.

Believe it or not but we all have used a Nokia once in our lifetime and we all know where the term "Mobile" phone comes from. There was a time when Nokia was a synonym of a Mobile Phone.

I still believe in miracles and hope to see this company rises up from the downfall. Glad to be a user of a "Nokia". Proud to be one and will be proud till their last device.
