Those who are still waiting for kitkat update in their nexus 4 – go to Settings-Apps-ALL- Google Services Framework "app", Cleardata & force closed it, and check again in settings- About phone-system update-Check Now You will get the notification

I bought my N4 from US, using in Bangalore, was waiting for Kitkat and since it didn't appear, cleared data on Google Framework, Force Stopped it and went to check system updates. It said last checked on 1/1/1970. I pressed check now and bingo Android 4.4 system update.

Settings = all,,Just "Force stop" the Google services framework ,clear data and try to check for update.. Soon you will get. Do this to get the update..i got mine..thnx

Should I... morethose pure changes that u r toking about come with google experience launcher wich unfortunately google has kept exclusive to nexus 5 ..but u can download its apk file from net and use it as ur default launcher...then the real changes will come..

I just got the kitkat update for nexus 4 in Chennai... :)
Just "Force stop" the Google services framework ,clear data and try to check for update.. Soon you will get.

Hi Guys,
I am from Hyderabad, India. I have upgraded to Kitkat today morning and i hardly see any difference except Messages (Hangouts), and Call functions. It is waste of time and i didnt like either of this. Dont expect Translucent bar and new UI. I was waiting for almost one month and checking for Kitkat on hourly basis. This is biggggggggggg disappointment from GOOOOOOGLE.
Dont worry if you dont have ANdroid kitkat, Jelly bean is better.
