Even it is a big bye bye for the OS i will still use it.. I own Nokia 603 and i will use it till it works fine...no Windows as of now.

Cant you read or are you blind... moreasha platform is based on s40.it cannot be compared to Symbian which was once the BEST SMARTPHONE OS.asha sw platform is very basic.no multitasking, no "good" apps or games, and poor support for video playback etc(unlike smartphones).

I used to be a Die Hard Nokia Phone user. Classic H/Ps like the E71 and X7 are some of the good Phones Nokia made, but not anymore. This shows when a Company like Nokia became No. 1 and then neglect their R&D, Marketing strategy, Design etc contended with what they are, the whole situation turn around faster than a bullet. They go down the ladder just like that. It is almost impossible to beat SAMSUNG now. Nokia you deserve it.

3 weeks ago my weather widget stopped to work on my N808 Pureview. Shame on this company. It is 15 months I bought this excellent phone. Promise was to keep Symbian updated and alive till 2016. Microsoft and its slave Nokia will do it again to each of you buying phone from them.

So MS killed Symbian, MeeGo and Nokia ? Now it will be only be part of a larger corporation who dont care what people say, like changing Xbox One policies like Windows 8 ? Maybe Nokia overslept but they can make phones with Widnows Phone and Adnroid like LG, Samsung and calmly worked on MeeGo. But it would be a horror for M$ so they ruined them, Nokia lose 2 years, dont have product to sell, Symbian - close down, MeeGo - close down, Android - Elop say No!, so...when they start selling a little more phones with WP MS make offer...when the stock price was significantly less than Elop start his mission. Nokia had everything, good phones, able to put everything inside like others (MediaTek or Qualcomm), best camera, maps, own shop, Intel as co-developer with MeeGo, Qt, free to Nokia (MS give some money Nokia, but Nokia pay MS fo license). In 2010, still 2011 MS have no chance even with MeeGo http://oi39.tinypic.com/nwixdh.jpg so they must take Nokia down...but why people from Nokia allowed to that ? Even in 2011 they can make phones with Windows Phone and Android ( and rebuild the position, even smaller companies can), so why they sell soul to the devil ?

people say symbian is not good,but they forget that it is mother of all os.u have to notice that before ios and android symbian is first os that teach ios and android how to make manu look good.by the way,in ios and android it is difficut to install from third party whereas you can get lots of apps games.i can buy apps thrugh my sim balanc but ios and android i need creadit card.i think nokia should bring symbian os with quad core processor and 2gb ram then user can feel the diffrence.currently i use e72 and note2 but u know e72 beats note 2 as battery backup.
