the 18000 workers should file a collective class action suit against microsoft for ruining theyr jobs and future by not adopting the market trend ..which is android. so they could sell millions upon millions of phones and tables and ths keep their jobs. its official. microsoft sucks, nokia sucks, its al down the DRAIN..pieces of shit. nobody buys them pieces of shit. if they would make android like sony, htc, samsung, etc, then they would sell millions, but i guess they dont like money.

Killing an OS like Symbian or "X"Droid is one thing, killing support and halting all Customer Services is another. Microsoft has done both to the main existence of Nokia
For a minute there folks thought Nokia could stand a chance of some sort of independence to venture into the mainstream cellphone market - News Flash; there is no Nokia and Microsoft is not interested in seeing Nokia on GSMARENA's OEM list - Do the math!

it really makes me sad that there are so many paid by Samsung negative posts trying to make WP look bad.
the only thing android has better of is apps.. WP wins the rest. but WP is catching up on apps, and getting many new developers (that's why android are giving out lessons on app design, they know WP with its unification of platforms will quickly gain in market share)
you only have to look at the real things that phone need,
better connectivity,
better build quality,
better camera's,
better sound (especially 140db mic's, and dolby certified audio on high end models),
better quality batteries that don't explode and burn you or your house/car,
better navigation (here+ is on a different planet of quality),
better quality chargers (with better current protection),
more apps/ functionality/ integration in the phone out of the box (rather that having to buy an app for everything),
better security,
less data stealing,
updates for old and low cost models (even 520 gets 8.1)....
this list could go on and on..
and just to be clear WP8.1 does have a file manager made by Microsoft (you get it from WP store, its called 'files' and its free with no ads or data stealing)
now for all you droid fans.. here is the real hard truth. you complain about OS being locked down, so you cant route it. hate to burst your bubble, but WP doesn't need routing, it works from the box.
as soon as you droid guys get a phone the majority load in a custom ROM to make it work a bit better (and in the process void you warranty). WP does not need or want this to happen.
WP is not going to die, its increasing sales faster and faster each quarter.

Very unfortunate that Nokia has chosen Elop to be CEO.
Otherwise today Nokia could be no.1 Android Smartphone maker.

Microsoft "killed" Nokia, they want only good know brand, some patents and most important thing - Stop one of top company making own software. They cant buy Google or Apple :D but even when Nokia lose some part of market they still were in game, Nokia still was dangerous.
And what Elop did ? Choose for the main OS niche Windows Phone. Mobile OS which need years to building grounds to do sth! 4 years to add sound control, VPN or take off limit of bookmarks...
You cant take OS like WP was in those years for main, Elop make even worse he killed Symbian and MeeGo - so if WP sales will be bad Nokia dont have other way. All normal company and their boss need to make diversification, need to calculate risk, make alternative strategy. Elop kill it in Nokia, he and shareholders destroy this company, perhaps they want easy money, they dont care about Nokia history, importance in mobile phones, employees, they surrendered without fight.
Maybe they think if they choose Elop for CEO, Microsoft buy it when stock was ~ 15$ not when they drop to 3-5$ :D Shares fall mainly of stupid Elop politics, he worked for Nokia or MS ?! WP in those years cant give enough size of sale for Nokia. They sell more phones with Symbian or MeeGo in this time if we compare that Elop announced end of Symbian or limited sale channels for MeeGo. I dont say WP is the worse os in history, only judge negatively affect for Nokia. They can stay on market if they have alternatives, if they can sell phones with Android and Windows Phone or even droid, wp and MeeGo. Why Nokia beat others in Android..very well know brand, good phones, best camera, own supplement like free maps, good sell on Android + WP/MeeGo.. RIP.

im using Lumia 1520 wp8.1 and its awesome guys,.. just upgraded from Lumia 920 to 1520,..u must try windows phone and u will not regret it,.. live tiles is superb,

Elop was the spy who entered in nokia from MS .. Destroyed the company by making windows only phone... then made deal with MS where he worked earlier . Now he received 18 million bonus !!! i think he deserves some credit !!

Why not just lay Eflop off instead, save the same amount of money to keep 18,000 people in employment and suddenly see Nokia starting to do well? Maybe Microsoft don't want to lose a man with such a track record of success... :\
