Nokia's mbl division is under MS. and other part of nokia has a huge amnt of money. They will come after 2016 with new hardware. But I hear ur samsung loses money. Very sad.

I mean...nokia was good, and then, like nothing, MS or Elop or this man, whatever.. killed Nokia, and people saying "no is not dead, is just a "deal"...pfff finish with that, no more proof.

All this "strategic alignment" aside, it's really a dick move for a new CEO to start off by cutting down 18,000 jobs, especially from a company they just acquired.
People put hard work and effort into jobs, and Nadella is basically saying,
"Thanks for wanting to work here, but I'm thinking we don't really need you anymore. Now leave."

Anonymous, 18 Jul 2014Something impossible is coming. New breakthrough Windows Ph... moreMicrosoft doesn't have a clue on how to keep customer's when it comes to their mobile OS devices. They have a long and infamous history of screwing their customers going back to the Windows Mobile platform.
Late last year I posted a comment where I said MS would discontinue their Asha platform and if Nokia's Android ever saw the light of day I was sure it wouldn't be in production long....and now you have it.
Asha phones are nice little devices with fantastic battery life and the OS is much more capable than WP 8.x (read up on Smarterphone if you have your doubts, since beginning with Asha 1.0 it's core is a true multi-tasking OS that has been implemented with that function limited to only a few functions on the Asha line).

i miss symbian....shifted to dual core 512mb ram android phone but still android cannot achieve what my 680mhz 256 mb ram symbian did : true multitasking. apps in android freeze it they remain in background for too long.
btw WP is true waste.

Someone please make an updated Symbian-like custom ROM for the Nokia X (and other Android devices). Something to cater to most old Nokia users. A familiar interface updated to today's standards. Let's show Microsoft and Elop what we really want Nokia to be.
