Fixed focal length at 28mm..no OIS..no zoom..this is too bad for it. The only good point is 1" sensor & variable aperture setting.

In the past they used the excuse of the capacitor been too large to fit in phone for no Xenon but they have these flat capacitors now so no excuse...Maybe the mach 2 of this model will be better like Samsungs effort is..

Anonymous, 16 Sep 2014Everything's nice here, but where is xenon flash?Good point. If it's without Xenon, my Nokia N8 beats it in the dark (especially with moving objects indoors) no matter how big the sensor is. Galaxy K Zoom has Xenon too. And Lumia 1020. Too bad this one apparently doesn't.

I bet it has a pop up flash , the little circle looks like a focus assist light and led for video to me ;-)

also if you look in the pictures you can see a flap above the volume buttons , a pop up square flash maybe :-)

          I own a 1020 but I am excited for a 1" lecia lens equipped Panasonic ;-) yeah baby ;-)

Anonymous, 15 Sep 2014Why get this if you can get a DSLR for that price???Because you don't get a phone or smart device running android and a great camera with the dlsr...
duh? Though there area couple smart dlsr's... they ate more expensive.

Anonymous, 15 Sep 2014Same mistake they allways doing, making something expensive... moreOr just buy a phone with a great camera for less....duh?

Like you said...just being expensive does not make it worth it

Anonymous, 15 Sep 2014Same mistake they allways doing, making something expensive... moreWhat €200 Sony camera is anywhere near as good as what this promises to be? I'd be very interested in buying it, previous version or not.As far as I know the RX100 (1st gen) is about €300 (more from a reliable seller - I don't trust Abes of Maine), is quite bulky and doesn't have wifi whereas the RX100 ii (which does have wifi and is a tiny bit bulkier) is around €500.

Anonymous, 15 Sep 2014Same mistake they allways doing, making something expensive... morebut the 1 inch sensor is a big deal. Disappointed in the led looking flash though. Sony's attachment means charging a seperate device and its shape is hard to be put in a pocket. The communication between attachment and phone is not always seamless. I decided to go with the real deal the rx100 in the end. I'm actually considering this phone if it's image quality is near that of rx100, the price seems quite reasonable for that sensor size.

You pay for 900 eur to a 20 mp big lens Camphone (or whatever), or you just buy any good smartphone and buy sony's small lens cameras which is about 200 eur (previous version) well you don't need to carry that monster anyway.
This is just ridicilous, why people need such crappy things, there are a lot of cameras with wifi direct option, even with OTG.
                      Such a price... Such dimensions...
                      TOTALLY MESS!

It's the price of an unlocked iPhone in my country, I'd rather have this beast.

Full marks again for a company trying to so something different ,,1 inch sensor that's a camphone.

I remember Panasonic flip phones been first in UK with 16 million colour screens.Folk are slating Note Edge as well but least Samsung pushing into new category of smartphone.

Why only 15 FPS? Must be sensor heat limitation. Very bad decision on Panny's part.

If only this thing had xenon flash... it would be as close to perfection as it could get. Since it doesn't, we'll just have to wait and see I guess.

There are instances where I wished I had a capable camera first with phone features second. Definitely something I would consider buying if it's good with capturing motion that all phones fail at.

I really hope that the camera quality would simply blow away the competition and battery life is decent coz this is going to fail miserably if it doesn't.

If branded as a Leica, Leica fans would pay that price.
