I can't believe what i see here. You people say Sony is overpriced, ofc it's expensive compared to chinese brands, motorola or even nexus. What you all fail to mention is that samsung is even more overpriced, still it sells like hot cakes. Let's be honest Xperia Z2 is better than S5 in almost every aspect, still it hasn't sold a fraction of what S5 has done. Those things like software upgrades matter only for us geeks, but 90% of people I know only purchase samsung devices because they want to have what everyone else has. The majority of guys I've spoken with didn't even know what Android version their phone had, neither where to check. For me it's the big gap between samsung and apple and the others to blame. These 2 companies have enough money to advertise their product, to hire people to bash other companies, to do everything they can to increase their profits and kill their competitors. Don't tell me about those not so smart guys that bought s3 mini, s4 mini, s5 mini only for their names, being much more overpriced than any Sony phone has ever been.

No need to do all that Sony, what you should do is instead of putting Android on those mid-ranged devices, switch them to WP8.1 instead!!!

Actually i wasnt so very amused by this news but now when i think of it, its hilarious that Sony has sold one or two songs through their superintrusive Whats New app and at the same time lost sales of thousands of Xperia phones. That must be some extremely profitable songs ahahah, like $1.2 Billion profitable i guess LOL
Sony can just go ahead and die now for all i care, our Vaio laptop and other Sony products are all out of warranty now so i couldnt care less. Been a Sony fan but their stupidity has killed all respect i had for them.

SONY MUST SUPPORT MIDRANGE PHONES!
Bcoz Sony Dosen't Update Midrange to Kitkat!! i have Xperia C and SP, great phones! but No KITKAT and no support or update for BUGS!!! i sell them and buy HUAWEI with KitkaT and very good support!

When i bought midrange phone for mother of my GF i put my Xperia preference aside together with my strong distaste for Samsung to make sure she would get the best phone for HER, and when we mapped her needs we found no Xperia to fit the criteria. It made me realize why Samsung is selling so well, their model selections is balanced and well thought out and the availability of original accessories like flip covers is unmatched and is very important to some users. For Xperia you are lucky if you can find a bad 3rd party cover 3 months later. I may add that for me Samsung is not an option (already had sammy flagships and hated it) but for the average user its a different story.

Why do all the samsung owners put the sony phones down? My wife has a s5 and I have the z2 and im telling you the z2 kills the s5 in every aspect and no im not a sony fan boy its just the pure truth
