see what you have done?
Bluetooth is very important you fool, why start an argument about the i-phone an its Email feature, i for one still think the i-phone 3GS is a great thing, but it doesnt have the features that most people need!
everyone keeps saying to me "once you try Apple, you wont go back"
its plain and simple
i want a phone with a decent camera and video recording, touch screen, email imap facility, MP3 player built in and Bluetooth !!
thought about the Samsung Omina HD, but Samsung have messed up by giving it an appauling audio codec that doesnt match its picture quality on video recording, figure that out!
i might have to go and see this 3GS handset tomorrow, but we dont have an Apple store in Oxford, so dont know how i will do this, lol

Anonymous, 22 Jun 2009Then is even motorola can receive emails with attachments, ... moreNice thought about the photo (Hmmm are you a female?), but my cell phone emails (I'm from Croatia) cost money and very few people use them on phones, BT doesn't cost a thing and some of my friends don't own computers (so don't use email either) so we just BT wallpapers, photos and ringtones (and yes, a song or two, but seriously if you want piracy you can get a DVD full of mp3 burned in a few minutes, who'd bother piratizing stuff through cell phones?). About Symbian - Nokia owns it, Samsung, Sharp, Siemens, Motorola, Sony Ericsson etc are licensees (just using Wikipedia on this). Incidentally, a guy with the iPhone I know uses all the applications there are (figuratively speaking) but never uses email or text messages as the qwerty pretend-keys are just too small to type comfortably and he can't get them in the landscape layout. And I agree on IQ, but that's not a topic for this site. Cheers!

Anonymous, 23 Jun 2009Sorry but all the people I know have email. If everyone wa... moreAllow me to share my 2 most recent case in terms of BT transfer...
Case 1 - I was with my wife and we took a shot together at a shopping mall. Soon we realize something went wrong with her iphone and she wanted to take into service.
Oops, the photo is still in the phone. BT? Sorry! E-mail, yeah, we figured that out...then by the time she logged in and stuff...she didn't even bother....lucky, the problem was quite minor and photo was saved anyway.
Don't get me wrong, I still think iphone is one of the greatest device ever. I'm sure my wife loves it, so is my manager. I just wish simple things like BT transfer is available. If piracy is an issue for music, given how "smart" the phone / software is, can somebody simply block out music transfer by BT?
Case 2 - I had lunch with my colleague last week. She forgot to bring her phone and she used my Moto Zn5 for photo taking. After we returned to office, I simply sent the photo back to her phone via BT. No e-mail was necessary. (many companies like mine don't allow personal e-mail login) Sorry, my phone doesn't exactly have access to e-mail (actually on roaming), so did BT transfer prove to be important?
And out of the BT topic a bit. This weekend I encountered another incident which I found a "treasure" in my mom's house. I video called my brother and shared my joy immediately. I wanted to video call my wife immediately, only her iphone doesn't support video call.
I probably don't video call my brother very often, maybe only several times a year. Though when the special moment comes, I think having the function to be used even for less than 1% of the time may prove to be valuable.
Last summer I visited my grandma (who lived far away from mom, and mom isn't exactly in good shape to flyover to see her mom in person) and I video called my mom...again, my mom probably uses video call less than 1% of the time, but when I saw tears from her eyes when she saw her mom...
My grandma passed away 2 mths ago. Hence for me, I really value video call a lot.

your argument is lame, who said i wanted to transfer to 30 people?
and no, my pictures arent 10MB, i`m talking about videos i have transferred via BT, videos of personal stuff, NOT illegal stuff, get your damn facts right Yank!
enjoy your i-phone and its Email, Apple is still years behind with its old technology, come to England and see BT in action when people go out in the evening, its hardly time consuming is it! anyway, i`m sooooooooo bored now, i think i will email this Forum link to everyone i know who uses Bluetooth, you have started a war that you will quite clearly lose Mr USA, LOL

[deleted post]So you think it's legal and appropriate to transfer music files that you bought and circulate those music files to all your friends via BT? Well maybe you'd say that you are not that kind. Well unfortunately sir, the real world out there uses BT to MAINLY transfer songs and photos. Photos are ok, but songs and videos? NO. Let's be REALISTIC here, ok.

Anonymous, 23 Jun 2009well, when my friends take a picture in a club, then everyo... moreSorry but all the people I know have email. If everyone wants a copy of a photo, I can email it to all of them at one time in my convenience. How long will it take you to BT a photo to everyone in the club? And really? Would you have the patience to stand next to each person in the club so you can BT that photo right away? HOW CONVENIENT (for the others, LOL). Sorry, but I bought the iphone for my convenience, not for yours. If I want a picture you've taken from your phone at a club, please email it to me at your convenience. I have better things to do in a club than stand right next to you, and I am sure you've got other better things to do in a club than BThing every person of photos they want. Can you imagine if 30 people wanted a copy of the 10 photos you've taken in a club? I have another better option than BT in that scenario that we use here in the US. Tell them you'll be posting those photos on Facebook. Let them get the photos they want themselves. I feel sorry for your impractical methods. 10mb? Your phone takes photos that big? LOL. UNREALISTIC. How long does a 10mb file take to transfer via BT? You have 20 people in the club who wants that file, and the dj is about to play the hottest dance track. So, can those 20 people leave their cell phones with you so you can transfer those 20 photos you've taken to their phones, while they all dance the night away. My friends would love you dude. You can take as many pictures as you want. They can all give you their phones so you can transfer those photos to their phone RIGHT AWAY. You can watch their phones at the same time, and oh, if their phone rings, tell the caller they're busy and don't forget to take a message =) Happy bluetoothing =)

well, when my friends take a picture in a club, then everyone wants a copy, NOT everyone has Email on their phones! bluetooth is the most recognised form of sharing files of any kinds over here! yes, we Email, but when your out and about - BT is the best way! how big a file attachment can the i-phone 3GS send anyway? there must be a limit? i have transferred 10MB+ files using BT transfer on many occasions, cant do that on Email can you? admittedly, it takes a while, but worth it in the end, in fact... come to mention it, i have transferred about 6 files last weekend to a Samsung phone from my Nokia, total file size was about 80MB, diod each file seperately and i received everyone....beat that! lol

Anonymous, 22 Jun 2009oh come on please! if your friends ask you to send your mus... moreWell with the iphone, I wouldn't even have to tell my cheap friends to get lost, I just tell them sorry I can't BT file transfer =) Well I am in the US and 99% of the population here email files every day. We email files across cities, countries, and even those who are right next to us. With email you can write a note and put a subject on an attachment, your friend can then forward that email to more friends who may not even be in the same room, you do not have to pair devices because their email address is saved in your contact list. You can email that file to 20 people in that room at the same time. While with BT, you have to send them the file individually and have to look for them in the club. What if 20 people in the club wants that file? You'd spend the whole night looking for people and standing right next to them or you'd lose connection, HAHAHAHAHA. W/ email, you can send a file at your convenience and you don't have to say "send it to me now while you're still here right here next to me", lol. BT makes sense back then when phones cannot email. We have smartphones now my friend. Don't get stuck with inferior methods for inferior phones =) If you're BT is better than my email, can you BT me a file here in the US when you're there in the UK? I assure you that I can email you a bunch of files right now =)

Also, not knowing that symbian is now owned by nokia has nothing to do with IQ. Having a high IQ does not mean you need to know everything. It's on how you perceive things.

[deleted post]I don't think it's rubbish not to have BT file transfer support. As I have said, I can always email photos, or even MMS photos once AT&T supports MMS in the US. What's rubbish is, when my friends who uses symbian and winmo devices start asking me to transfer music files and videos to their phone. Music and video files that I have legitimately paid for, they want to get it for free. That is piracy my friend. Symbian and Winmo users really need to get a job and buy their own music. I'm glad that I cannot BT music files to them, phewwwww. Or else, I'll end up buying high quality music, and those pesky, parasite symbian and winmo users would just want my music files for free. What a bunch of cheapos.
Yes, the iphone has a decent camera and I have been using it just fine. Why would BT be the basis for any mobile phone? Can you please elaborate on that? As I have said OVER & OVER again. I can email photos and videos whether you are right next to me, or in a different country. Email is more useful than BT file transfer. Can you BT me a photo when I am 5 miles away from you? NO. But I can email you pictures. So how is BT be the basis of any mobile phone? Maybe for low end phones that cannot email, yes, but not for smartphones like the iphone. BT is lame compared to email when it comes to sending files.

Your math is wrong. You said "the unlimited data plan in here is a daily of US$1 /day or monthly US$10/month." If the daily rate is $1, it should be $30 for the whole month, not $10, lol. I think you are just bitter and jealous =)
Nokia does not even have their own OS, so how can Nokia be above Palm, Apple and BB? You are an unreasonable person. People like you have low IQ =)
