Samsung Galaxy Fold arrives in India, pre-orders begin October 4

The redesigned Samsung Galaxy Fold has arrived in India. It's priced at a whopping INR164,999 ($2,320/€2,130) and can be pre-ordered starting October 4, with deliveries beginning from October 20.

You can pre-order the Galaxy Fold through the company's official site, Samsung Shop, and Samsung Opera House in Bengaluru. It will also be available through select retail outlets in 35 cities across the country.

For INR164,999, Samsung is offering 24x7 technical support to Galaxy Fold customers along with a one-year Infinity Flex Display Protection which includes accidental damage protection and one-time free screen replacement. Besides, the Galaxy Fold will come bundled with an Aramid Fiber case and Galaxy Buds.

The Samsung Galaxy Fold boasts two AMOLED screens - a 7.3" foldable display and a 4.6" cover display.

Under the hood, the Galaxy Fold has a Snapdragon 855 SoC with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. It comes in Cosmos Black color, packs a 4,380 mAh battery, and sports a total of six cameras.

Yet, you cannot even get this unit. Especially with that price tag and limited availability.

This will start as the coolest toy amongst those who have it, but will quickly become a PR nightmare for Samsung as they all start breaking.

I disagree with people saying the ones who'd buy it, won't much care about fragility. If you buy a newest, concept Ferrari, would you drive it like a mountain climbing vehicle, on rough terrain with no support for miles? Or would you rather care...
