Update fixing Galaxy S8 red tint issue arrives in Europe

Himanshu, 29 April 2017

After its home country of South Korea, Samsung has started pushing out the fix for the Galaxy S8 red tint issue in Europe as well. Weighing in at 426MB, the update is hitting Galaxy S8 units in the UK, and S8+ units in Germany.

Turkey is also getting the update - both S8 as well as S8+ are getting it in the country. The fix, as you might already know, comes in the form of a new Screen edge color balance option in the Screen mode menu, allowing you to adjust the full screen color balance as you see fit.
