Hi?i havent yet got a memory card..hav a question: everytime i check memory status there's an extra 20kb allocated to messaging,its always there even if i have no messages stored.dont remember if it was like this when i bought it..anybody know what its for?Thanks in advance.the phone is great..just what i wanted!

I have heard that the sound of this cellphone increases when we upgrade of firmware!
many ppl told me that, can any1 HERE confirm this and tell us? LASTEST firmware is 5.01 but i havent upgraded, vill upgrade soon!

Yes we can set password on Memory card!
Go to Gallery-->Memory Card--)options; Set Password, and THere u go :) Happy nOw ??

It is really a good set but its Caller Tones are very slow and not loud enough to be heard when you are out in the market and amidst noise.
Moreover memory is also a factor. I think NOKIA should be providing a good memory storage space to its users, pertaining to the current multimedia environment which asks for a more sufficient storage and 9MB is too less, really too less.

can we have password on any application of the phone like contact, messages, etc..

This is great phone guys.
I got this phone for 4 days, and battery still half of full. Its only 1.2 million rupiah in Indonesia (arround 125 USD or 100 Euro).
1. Amazing keypad, this the best nokia keypad ever (for my finger of course).
2. Great battery life, not the best but i am more than please with it perform.
3. Great sounds for cheap phone, you cant ask for more for that price.
4. Cam is good for documentation, please go for n95 or SE k850 if u want great cam.
5. Its my hand mate, like it was built for my hand. I love 2 hand it.
6. Too bad its only java..., but its ok!

I think you need to update your firmware via Nokia Software Updater. It is free to download online. Every Nokia phone gets their bugs fixed once you update their firmware. I used to own a Nokia, until I switched to iPhone

i bought this phone 9 days ago and yesterday it started giving me problems, it wont stop switching itself on and off automatically!!!

try to store the files directly to the memory card and not place the music files inside a folder in your memory card. update your music library.
also, maybe the music file's bit rate is too high that it can't supported. i haven't confirmed it yet but i can try.

are you from the phils? better buy kingston at cdr-king. 1 gb is P690 and 2gb P1190.
if you're not from the phils, choose between kingston and sandisk. i think kington is a little bit cheaper than the later.

This ph is good, head ph music sound good more than my n73 me. So i use this 4 music. I using 512 Mb . But it restart again again. When i recieve any music file via bluethooth it turn hang. Any body plz help me.

Hi all! Can any0ne tell me which brand of 1gb micro sd card works best with this Nokia 3110c. Is it "KingCom"?,"SanDisk"?, or "Kingston"?. Pls help 'c0z i d0nt wanna buy original Nokia micro sd card because it's too expensive... Any0ne? Pls...........

Surprised how well the display works in the sun during texting. Odd thing is in full sun it becomes a grey scale display with no color. But other then probably motorola e398 it one of the better displays i have used in sunlight. But a little on the gritty side and average colors when used indoors compared to other screens with similar specified displays. Overall very happy with its price versus performance.

Buddy Nokia 3110 classic is BASICALLY an mp4 player rather than a 3gp player! Convert ur video files into mp4 in resolution of 176*144(QCIF) then those videos will definately play!
Now @reddevil
buddy nevertheless it playes videos of 176*144 whats the big deal.. the screen is wider providing more space for internet browsing! and its a gud point not a point to be sorrow of!

plz dont ask me where to buy the 2.5mm to 3.5mm jack BUT Ofcourse 3110 classic supports 2.5mm to 3.5mm jack and u can surely use it! which will be cheaper than buying 5200 or perhaps 5300, Although 3110 classic IS definaltely BETTER than 5300 and it has SAME quality as of Nokia 6300 !

awesome phone...bought it yesterday...
the only complaint is i wish the display was 176 X 144 instead of 128*160...nevertheless...100% value for money...

don't worry, the phone is as fast with or without a memory card provided the phone and/or memory card is not full. nokia 3110c is the fastest os (nokia series 40) i had ever used. for the memory card you can buy the original nokia micro sd card but sandisk and kingston also offers micro sd card which is cheaper than the original nokia micro sd card. if you are in the philippines, buy kingston at cdr king for only PHP690 for 1 gb and PHP1190 for 2gb.

mp4 works on nokia 3110c. may be the resolution is not supported by the phone i mean resolution is too large for the file to handle. try it to convert on 176 X 144 resolution.

what do you mean by exact setting? do you mean that i have to change some setting in my 3110c to play mp4?
