500 users, I got a solution to camera problem:
when the camera is working go to settings and change preferred memory to memory card from mass memory. It solved the problem fr me

harsh, 01 Dec 2011can u tell me how to update to 11.033. i dont knw about ithey harsh go to setting -phone-phone management-device update-option then chek for update you require internet for approx 2mb file

Hi there,I cant get my phone updated bcs the updater shows"all system up to date"is there someone who get the update from North America,I guess the users in Europe get it first,North American later,or I have to contact my service provider and ask for update,just like in blackberry case.Any idea,or advise.PLS.........

Hai Nokia 500 users...the new software update is working fine.its 011.033 and the problem was alamost solved...but wat about our long term wait symbian belle..when is the official launch its almost end of the year guys please help......

hai n500 holders, i have 1 good newsfor all .. I have solution for the problem which occur in our 500 mobile like auto start for no reason and camera problem. Solution: 1.hold ur mobile power button for more than 8seconds it off and restart automatically with vibration 2.when the mobile was on dial *#0000# then u hav seen your current version of your mobile ,3.then check for updates,4.a software update can indicated for you (011.033)4.click download(2mb approx) and then automatically your phone will resets the new software .. Then no problem occur there after.. Pls try it i test it,done it and now enjoyed with it..

nokia500 has a restart problem I thougt nokia will give a better than samsung smartphones but its really unfair. nokia has to improve their software of dis n500.

DB, 01 Dec 2011Can anyone enlighten us regarding the performance improveme... moreThe firmware update 11.033 is the savior of Nokia 500. I highly suggest that you guys update it immediately. Just finished with one whole day of my phone updated with the latest software and these are my observations.
*Significantly improves on the speed of the phone, almost no hang times, the ui is actually smooth now and I can finally turn on the theme effects as it is a joy to see now with the smooth ui.
*The Nokia 500 finally feels like it has a 1ghz processor
*Nokia Social App scrolling/loading speed vastly improved
*Haven't experienced the restarting problem YET.
*Nokia web browser now auto hides the url bar, added bounce effect similar to the nokia store
*In general, the Nokia 500 should have been shipped with the 11.033 software.
*some negatives, unlocking still needs improvement, sometimes you have to take out the battery and turn it on again as the phone won't respond to unlocking.. Though it happens only rarely.

Even after updating the software to the latest one (10.033.00.01), the restart problem was not solved. Still exists.

How much ram is available for the user...also plz do onething- open google plus and try to update ur profile photo. Arn u able to do so or the phone shows MEMORY FULL?? Operamobile may b used as broser.
