Can anyone enlighten us regarding the performance improvements after installation of SW update no. 011.033? Has the frequent hanging of the phone stopped? What are the other enhancements?

Hey frnds, i m planning to buy a smartphone under 13000 inr........i wanted to buy nokia 500...bt comments say that it has restarting problms......does it really hav such problms.....plzzzzzz reply plzzzzz......which will be the best phone under ma budget if nokia 500 is not gud???????

Please check your SW updater app. Update your software to 011.033. Internet browser is quicker, adds a bouncing effect when you scroll to the edge of the web browser, the update also auto hides the url bar while using the web application. Phone is much more stable and it doesn't crash anymore!!!!

its nice handset but when u use 1hour continusly handset switch off and restart automaticaly. camera,internet,gps,weight,look screen is super

Hey, so one question, I tried to update from phone management->device updates and it says application canceled by server. Is there another way to update?

I own a NOKIA 500 since 1 week, its very good, I am happy using it. The Nokia 500 is a new generation mobile phone which is "similar"(at experience) to Nokia X6, 5800, C6-01, but it is better at operating system, it has Symbian Anna(and will have Belle as we heard) so it will look closer to Android operating system. And when I say new generation I mean you really feel it is new, it feels new because of Symbian Anna and the design of it. The design is great, it has a beautiful design, it's curved at the back, not too small not to big, it is a medium sized mobile, which stays very good and fits very well in your hand, it's a pleasure to hold it, and it's easy to hold when calling. The display is great, it's resolution is high 360x640(half of HD 720p) compared to other 320x480, 240x400 displays. The Symbian Anna is more beautifull than the predecessor Symbians. What have surprised me is the quality of the sound. The sound quality of the NOKIA 500 is very good, using a Philips headphones with earbuds and bass equalizer profile activated on the phone, it sounds very clear and good with good base. The inbuilt speakers sound is good as well. It has a 5 MegaPixel camera. The camera quality is good to best, let's say we could give it a 8 mark out of 10. The video quality is mediocre, but good. The only disadvantage of this phone is that it doesn't have flash, but if you don't use it in the night to take photos, it's ok for daylight. I think photos at night at bulb lights are good. It has everything you need. And again what I want to mention the design of the phone is ideal, is superb, it feels very good in your hands, it gives you a feeling that it is a bit long, and it is superb.I was also very surprised about the battery life in good terms! The 1110 mAh battery lasts(108 hours) 4 and a half days with very small usage(1 hour call, and 30 minutes web usage), so I think it can last up to 5 or 6 days in standby(when not used), and it could last 2 to 3 days with medium or heavy usage. It has GPS with voice guide for free, OVI software market with lots of free apps. It also has DivX/XviD support which is not mentioned in the descriptions. So the phone is superb, I recommend it. nokia 500 look wise very good with the facility, but there is no battery pick up,getting switch off automatically,now a days nokia quality is going very badly down.

After i bought this NOKIA 500, iam not feeling shame with my friends, while showing something to my friends its get hangged. I started using my old phone nokia5130. iam waiting for Belle software, I hope it may solves my problem.
