Why is the SAR level so high on this phone?

i started using it yesterday but the only draw back is that you have to buy the memory card and it's affecting my choice cause i really like it...............

I bought this phone a few days ago.The phone is awesome,everything is soo great,the camera result is even better than that of 5800,sound in speakers is low but in headphones its awesome.touch is response is too good!!gr8 work nokia!

iam using nokia 5233,overall the set is good but the only drawback is the ring tone its too low to hear inspite of the volume set at max level.

It has no mention of GPS. 5233 doesn't has GPS in it (confirmed) but still you can ask you retailer about it.
GPS basically is a hardware chipset, or antenna you can say, coupled with a software. This antenna communicates with GPS satellites orbiting our planet and gets us our exact position on a map/software. It doesn't require GPRS/3G connectivity as a necessity.
A-GPS is a part of "GPS software" that help you get GPS data quickly over the internet through GPRS/3G.
Tchnically, without GPS A-GPS has no worth. I am saying this because 5233 is a Symbian based phone, just like 5230 or 5800 (that has GPS antenna built-in in them) so you can get GPS software along with A-GPS installed on it but it'll not work with out GPS antenna.
Also point to note that you can get an external GPS antenna that'll work with a non-GPS phone (like 5233) with bluetooth and get you your exact location on the map/software.

Remember that this device works with your phone and that your phone should have a GPS software/map installed on it.
Now about GPS software/map : Nokia Ovi Maps is one such software. You can download and save it in your phone itself and there is no need for continuous download over the air through GPRS/3G. But if you have GPRS, it'll certainly help as it'll support A-GPS and other features of Ovi Maps that need data connection.
Ovi map also comes with Voice Navigation but I'm not sure if there is one available for 5233 as there is no GPS in it.

Most camera phones has CMOS sensor. There is not much difference from CCD. CMOS is not a chinese technology. What is actually bad is that its not auto focus, its fixed focus. Its an average camera. Video Recording is good though, VGA resolution @ 30 frames per second.

iam using this piece for a month now no doubt its a good piece but the only draw back is the ring tone is too low to hear with the maximum volume setting and poor performance of speakers rest all features are satisfactory.

Rest assured all softwares that are available for Symbian S60 Touch ver. will be available for download on 5230. So softwares for (not again...) 5800 XM, 5530 XM, N97, N97 mini, X6 will run on 5230/5233. Most of them, as there are hardware differences between the devices.
About Corby plus, its almost similar to CorbyPro without 3G or GPS. Its like the 5233 ver. of 5230.

At first i waz worried too when using touchkeys much instead of keypads, but after 4days of using it, i finally find touchkeys m0re easier to type than pressing th0se hardn0ck keypads at all. And also, 5230's keys has a soft vibrati0n as it is being tap so u would kn0w it resp0nse. Ü
And the very best part of my experiences fr0m this ph0ne are as follows:
1. Internet Browsing
i use operamini5.0 and its really like surfing with a netbo0k or alm0st like pc. And when downloading 3gp's are so fast. Just be sure to have a c0nstant gprs or 3g signal so it w0nt have any delays. I am an internet lover so i am very happy to have this ph0ne as an alternative from a desktop pc.
2. Watching video
Its bigger screen 3.2 inch suites best for streaming and watchng m0vies directly in ur ph0ne. And u can easily read its capti0n, if theres any.
Having this ph0ne really r0cks! So far so g0od. And oh by the way, this is a smart ph0ne so it supp0rts multitasking, that really beats corby. Ü

There might be some lags in panning/zooming or scrolling. But you can also use Opera Mobile 10 or Opera mini 5 for non-flash sites.
2> .pdf can be viewed with a software installation.
3> To view presentations or to use it like a ebook reader you need compatible softwares i.e. softwares running on Symbian. Nokia has its own Office document viewer/editor that can be purchased from them or you can download a free software off the web. Most ebook readers like Stanza has Symbian versions, you can get them running on 5230/5233.
