some people hear r saying that this phone costs 8500INR 9000INR WHATTTTT!!!! in hyderabad india i chechedd many shops the minimum price i was told in some local stores is 7800 rupees and in some stores it was 8300 nokia priority is selling it for 9500 i think or may be for MRP guys my advice is PLEASE GO AND CHECK THE PRICE IN ATLEAST 5-7 STORES AND BUY IT
Iam buing this phone maybe in 2days for 7800

no software in the world makes any phone capable of wifi and 3g or bluetooth unless and until phone is equiped with respective hardware.
think if there is any such software which can make a phone wifi capable i or anybody will install it in a nokia 1100 and use it hehehehehe

Hello 5230 Owners!! I have recently purchased 5800 but having screen display problems when switch on the phone. screen dances in verical and horizantal color lines, I used TATA-Docomo sim in all the 4 pieces I exchanged but same prob.
Now I want to know whether 5230 too have similar display problem now I want to purchase 5230. And another thing is the loud speaker voice at least audible and the call voice also please clarify?

I dont know why some ppl say that music on this phone is low!? Please guys buy other headphones becouse one that nokia gives with device are low quality! They comes with cheap nokia phones! I am using sonicear earpump and sound that comes from this phone is sooo loud that i cant listen music with volume set on highest level! And sound quality is just AMAZING! I really cant describe it,first you have to hear it to believe it!! Amazing phone! I haved 5530xm but this phone is so much better and specialy screen

After a long Speculative SEARCH (This being my first CELL) & getting answers to all those TechNo-GeeK Questions I have finally made up my mind to buy Nokia 5230. I have definitely settled on all the aspects the phone has to offer. (Keeping in mind the Price Point) the Sound Quality is awesome, Video Experience - Again Awesome, Camera SUCKs but dont need it anyways, GSM/CDMA, All sorts of DATA Carriers except WiFi (the only minus I guess), Mem upto 16 GB, Good Looks in a way (Price Point Remember). The only aspect I am a bit nervous about is its TouchScreen ..... I mean its RIGIDITY..... Its Toughness. So I wanna ask all you guys having this gadget to help me figure out if this Phones Touchscreen is capable of facing the CROWD of Thousands in Bombay Local Trains. For Comparisons I did had an iPod Touch n ofcourse that SHIT is Officially DOPE. So Please HELP me with this.
The Nokia 5530 XM definitely looks more Awesome but theres no way that I will spend 12000/- BUCKs for a Buggy Phone. Ever Since its been released in US UK n Europe, people thr are facing all soughts of SHIT. Seems Nokia hsnt ever released a Firmware for 5530 ever since it released which gives rise to more speculations that the BUG or should say FAULT is more Hardware Based. Whatever..... I aint going for 5530 anymore.
One Funny or rather Strange thing happened: When I went up to Nokia Priority & asked for 5230 they said the stock is already out but they have a Nokia 5233 Available. I was like whats tht havent heard or learnt about it so they showed the identical twin of 5230. Only difference he said was that Nokia 5233 doesnt has a 3G. But the funny thing is this Phone hasnt been released anywhere accross the world, It doesnt feature accross mobile websites including GSM Arena & Nokia India. Mostly Nokia wanted to release 5233 & 6700 Slide during the Mobile CONGRESS but surprisingly 5233 is already thr in India.

Phones from other companies seems worthless now that Nokia comes with FREE voice navigation.

Can someone tell me whether screen protector is required. Mine has come off from 5230. Do I need to put another screen protector to avoid any scratches on the phone.

Hey why does some applications meant for 5800 does not work in this phone
it says that this software should be run on 5800 only
some apps like touch piano guitar does not work
is there some way to make it work i mean some tweaking

Could any one tell me if I want to see movies of different format which software should I dowmload for this mobile. I already bought this 2 days earlier but don't know about the softwares. I have tried S60 and Core player, but it isn't working. Any help guys?
