Hi.. All depends on the feature set you desire and your budget. If both are matched and this phone i the outcome, then go get it. But also remember, paying less you cant get everything, you need to compromise a bit.

its price is Rs.8095 in hotspot baroda.
i think price will drop to Rs.7500/- in this month.

like d most are , nice processor its fast i'd used it,multiple software support bcoz of s60 v5,handwriting recognition at its best wlile writing sms,high speed gprs and edge class 32 better than others, its best,supports skyfire with full flash support which lg cookie or samsung star cant biggest drawback,2mp camera but good ,video shooting at 30 frames per sec ,640* 320 hence best video and photo quality with 3G and GPS A low budget MUST BUY PHONE!!!!

dun buy 5230. It sucks. Battery is just for 3hrs. No camera clarity, no gud music. Only gud touchscreen. Nt thing else. No software supports. Say no to 5230....

Truly speaking, previously I used to find the speakers to be a bit down, but now i dont have any grudges. I am using mp3's with higher bitrate (often resulting in clear loud and crisp audio) and now its fine with me. But yeah, i would not deny that theres some prob. may be it will be rectified in the next firmware release.

In some parts of India its available in white some places in black (like in bangalore). I havent heard till now whether the multicolor xpresson covers are available in india.!!!

I dont think thats a problem.. because if you notice the camera button is on the right side and in order to use it the phone should be held sideways positioning the camera button on top.

As far as i know you should charge the handset for around15-20 hours before the first initial use.

That seems unfortunate on you side. Even I have this handset and I have not faced such issues till date. That might be a glitch.

Hey Guys,
Just bought this phone yesterday and seemed to be a nightmare. Its getting restarted when try to play a song after a file transfer through Bluetooth. However the dealer has replaced with the new phone. Don't how is it gonna work now...
Apart from this.. Phone is Xcellent !!!! Worth to go for it rather than N5800

so wanted to buy new cell....
this is gonna my 1st touchscreen phone...so im afraidin of gettin scratches on the screen....though i use the phone carefully..bt still....pls tell me....

I am using this phone from yesterday. i wanted to know why the phone screen only rotates to the left at 90 degrees and not to the right. the settings only say Autorotate on/off. i wanted to know is it the problem with my cell or generally its the same for all 5230.
Also, Where are the settings for Kinetic scrolling on handet?? do reply

I'm thinking of buying Nokia 5230.... but I can't make up my mind yet. Camera is not an issue to me coz I have a camera of my own. wi-fi.... well not an issue at all coz I have my own laptop and a 24/7 internet connection at home.....and I don't use internet that much.
I was thinking of buying LG KP500 but I found out that you can't change the themes........ well I like changing themes...and i like making personalized themes.
And I like bigger memory coz I heard that Nokia 5230 can be expand upto 16 GB.... video playing is not an issue too coz I only love to liste to music.... and i like bigger memory coz I love to put alot of music.....
The only thing I need is a phone that can text and call and listen to music...... plus its a touchscreen.... but my fear is ..... does anyone knows if Nokia 5230 hangs if the memory card is full?
