You don't have to remove memory card. Always take a backup of your contacts and settings before upgrading.

Just make sure that you never downgrade your phone with a firmware that is older than what you already have. Doing so will brick your phone and you will not be able to revive it by flashing (Nokia care guys got hardware flashing tools as well and they can revive a bricked phone).

For flashing you can leave the sim inside the phone itself and select offline mode or switch-off phone in case of flashing with CFW.

I don't quite remember the procedure for upgrading through NSU. Last time I did that was more than 1 1/2 years ago. Anyways remove the sim, you don't really want to get interrupted by a call or an annoying msg.

[deleted post]Oh yes i will. Now, did you just try to teach me manners. Sorry if i intrigued you, but do you believe that i enjoy posting the same things again and again. I too don't like to write an 'essay', but let me try to talk a little common sense to you. Unlike a troll, i use a genuine name to post comments. If you really like to debate then use a name and face us with a little dignity. If your post was written by either sidewinder or utk, i swear i would stop replying to comments. Besides, people who ask questions don't stay here much longer. Only those who reply, stays. Know why, cause we know to help, instead of using the back seat to enjoy the show. So, when a new person comes here and asks a question, we have no choice but to explain elaborately. I am not running a class where the students stay for the whole year and hence once a chapter is finished, there is no repeating of lessons. In forums, people come and disappear. But if one uses a genuine id then at least i won't repeat the same advice to him or her. Your accusation would have hold ground if i replied to the same person with the same repeated posts.
Now, how did you like my new 'essay'. Come on! Hit me.
