As it has AGPS (Assisted GPS support), it track the position by connecting to positioning satellites so NO data connection is required and it is absolutely free. But you have to download proper maps first like Ovi Maps from Nokia or Google Maps from Google or you can have both simultaneously installed. Once you load them with your current location details city/district wise, phone automatically save that in cache memory so next time you can use them without connecting to GPRS/EDGE.

There is also a data cable but is much short in size (anyways they provide same short cable with 5230/33, 5535 and X6 16GB as well, thats not a big issue as its a laptop friendly), plus there are stuffs like 2GB SDHC, WH 701 stereo headset, stylus spectrum, battery (BL 5J) and charger of course.

ayush, 18 May 2010thanks..also could u plz tel me d dif btw sd and sdhc cards??In short, SDHC is always better. 4GB of SDHC from Transcend costs around 600 Rs and that of Kingston costs 530 Rs. I have recently checked prices from some shops in Pune.

But things you get in 5235 over 5233 are chromium tinted metal frame body, a lot superior build quality (I am comparing it with 5233 variant 5230), high end headsets in package, free comes with music subscription etc. When I held 5235 and 5230 simultaneously in hands, the later one feels and sounds very cheap.

I would be contacting Nokia officials via mail very soon over this.

I purchased it at 9200 Rs on 5th May and today, at same Nokia priority shop in Pune, the price is 8500 Rs. And now it is also available in outside shops and retail chains like mobile store and you can settle the deal even at 8200 or likewise. Usually, when phone is new it remains exclusive to Priority shops for 5-6 days (except some grey market availability) so they sell it at higher price.

I dont want to be subscribed to GPRS/EDGE connection and still be able to use the plain vanilla GPS(purely satellite based) of 5230. Is it possible?
