I'm unable to open the application menu...with single or double tap i've to keep it pressed to open the file... once it get inside the application menue then it is fine...I'm not facing any other problem with the handset..is there any solution for this....
Te game what i was take is the one from the OVI store
i tried the cricket one which is newely uploaded and the the 3D car racing game...both had problem with the installation...if you read the reviews then you will see that Nokia 5230 users are facing this problem...

manu, 18 Aug 2010i think u r right the software version for both the phones ... moreStrange. It works for me in single tap. And all games I used are compatible with new firmware as well and why wouldn't they? OS is still same. Installation failed message appears because certificate of those applications are expired. Resign it or patch the ROM of your phone using HellOX2. All applications will work again.

i still don't undrstand y people are complaining about 5230v21 after 8 days of heavy usage on this software i find it way more better than my previous one.....
Can anyone post the problems they r facing on v21 so tht i can check if i m getting the same or is it some other problem...
Talking about touch sensetivity i don't think it has reduced or increased even a little bit aftr abd before the update....application tab still opens with a single click ...(atleast for me)

I have changed my firmware to V21 and again changed product code to 5235, if nokia releases FOTA to 5235 as well as 5230 , which update my 5235 will accept?

GEEK, 18 Aug 2010HI,Anuj & Arpit dont u think that nokia intentionally k... morei think u r right the software version for both the phones r not same....some of the games which was working in 5235 does not work in 5230 software version ....it says installation failed.....after updating to 5230 software i'm facing problem with the touch sensitivity....i'm unable to Access application folder with double tab......i ve to keep on tabbing it to enter the folder .....anuj....arpit .....i need ur help to change my phone back to 5235

HI,Anuj & Arpit dont u think that nokia intentionally kept diff betw. 5235 & 5230 soft. v21 & v20 in image viewing & camera quality, it is quiet amazing that anyone doesnt gives detailed feedback about that. I think Nokia is wise enough to distinguish these two phones by providing some lil diferences bet their softwares.

hey i got the answer myself, listen all, when you insert wh 701 in the jack only insert half of it then 5235 ask you what is this headset,headphones,line out or music stand so select line out. your volume will have increased 30% approx. try it works for me.

did u try any other codec for this cell?

hey guys.. i realized my phone has got a problem in its modem.. coz after every 30 to 40 mb data transfer it hangs and will not work untill i restart... the problem is only with the modem coz i have transferred around 130 mb data over the air downloading on my Memory Card and it was working fine ( and by fine i mean giving 40 KBps transfer speed at nite and early morning and 15 to 20 Kbps at normal hours)
My connection is airtel but i don't think its a fault from their side..
if anyone of u is facing the same problem and got a solution plz reply thanks...

i think u shud go to nokia care they will take care of ur speakers...

Arpit_s, 17 Aug 2010hey guys,anuj,arpit982,please help me! i bhought my 5235 on... moreu can try going to nokia care if u think its very very low...all they will do is reinstall ur firmware and give the speakers a check maybe.. if the problem is the same even after that... try updating as v21 gives better quality output.. but after that u r out of warranty ...

alternatively u can try updating(as v21 of 5235 improves audio quality) but if the problem is not solved even after that..then u r out of warranty ...
i will recommend going to nokia care..
