i have got this phone since last Nov 07 i loved its shape its size i do not care for teh camera or such things the problems that i faced with the phones are as follow
when u insert ur stereo jack to listen to music or when u use it as an Mp3 player with sub-woofer kit it keeps restarting that does not have certain time sometimes after an hr sometimes after minutes sometimes when u just play the 1st song that really bothered me because the main feature that i loved in it is destroyed now so is there any software modification for this
also the ring tones volume is so poor the most problem in the design that the speakers are behind the phone i preferred that it be in the edges as before but the size is wow i adore it the light is ok for me i like dark lights better for eyes if anyone found any problem tell me the phone is at the agency now they wanan fix it hope they can solve it

batery backup is vry bad-camera is nt so gud-

hi Shashank,
its very simple ... u need to download the Nokia PC suite from nokia.com and later use the option update phone software ..it will connect to sever and download the new version of the firmware for yr mobile. its free ..

i see that this phone is great, but i would like to know the price for it... in Romania the price for this phone is ap. 400$!

the ohone is great but there is one big flaw!
the ring volume even at th e maximum level is so low that you find urself in trouble for hearing it!

Hi, I don't receive calls often, during the day I speak only 1 hour or less, but I listen to music for 6 hours, does the battery support this with one charge? Can I buy a battery with more duration? Thanks, excuse me for my english

i baught nokia 5310 a week mback. battery is ok . camera poor. ring tone volume is very low. faster than n73.i am not very happy about the overall features of this phone

Sincerelly I had a lot of phones before this NOKIA 5310 (I had aproximately 170 phones), I had other brands like Sony Ericsson. From SE I had: W800i, W810i, W880i ans K850.
And NOKIA 5310 is the best phone in SOUND.
You can hear music 2 maybe 3 times stronger than on Sony Ericsson. It's bass is so cool, it sounds cristal clear thanks to the EXTRA SOUND CHIP buit in(that's why NOKIA call it Xpress Music). If you try to put your headphones instead of NOKIA gives in the pack you will be surprised becouse its loud and clear. I recomend this phone for all who like to hear music on the go, or at work, or on trips, or everywhere. I tried it and its battery last 3 days while listening to music or radio 4 hours a day.
So go buy this phone. I can't say anything about its camera but I think it takes satisfying pictures(like 6233, 6120, 6300).
And I want to mention that its keypad is great, the display is not as bright like 6300 for example but it is enough good.
And don't forget that NOKIA is the best because you never get bored of a NOKIA's menu or it's design. And the quality of its materials used are very good. I am a NOKIA FAN. Thanks NOKIA that you exist!

Personally i like this phone, cos it has very high graphics and most of all it has SUPERIOR QUALITY INTERNET CONNECTION better than any other phone i ever knew.

Hi,
I got this phone 2 days back , i paid 8750/- Rs in bangalore. Its very good ... iloved its design ...it had some initial problem when i played the video it started restarting ..later i updated the firmware to 3.63 ..later no problem ...so guys update the software ..from the nokia website ..its 32 MB file takes around 15 min to update .before that take the backup of the phone data ...
Overall phone is very good ...good quality sound and good cam to ...
