I don't agree with all the complaints. I have had my Nokia 5310 for a few months now and it works perfectly! The sound quality is superior to my Sony Erickson, it stores a lot of music, the picture quality is amazing and the camera is very good for a mobile phone. If you are mostly concerned with photos buy a digital camera. This is a phone and does an outstanding job in clarity, sound quality, music selection and beautiful, vivid colors. The calls are crystal clear, battery lasts an average of 3 days with heavy usage and it slips into any pocket or purse. What more can you ask for in a phone! I would highly recommend it without hesitation.

i'm planning to buy this phone..
but i'm hesitant due to some bad comments bout it..
how can i know if the phone i'm buying (5310) has the latest software version??

People Dont Buy That Phone For God Sake. Nokia Cant Become King Of Music Phones The Real King Of Music Phones Is Sony Ericsson. Believe Me. I Am Using A K790 Cyber-shot™ Phone Its Not A Music Phone And My Phone's Sound Is Great As Compared To That Damn Xpress Music Phones. The Bass Of My K790 Is Much Far Extra Than That 5310. So Just Imagine That What Walkman Phones Can Do Because They Have An Extra Bass Enhancement Equalizer And That Is Mega Bass™. So If You Are A Really Music Lover Just Dont Think Beyond Walkman Phones.

5310 is very bad. background tune is very low. no best music player.dont parchase is mobile.

This fon is sucks....it's freeze, crash, tones is too silent, playe is unstable, unable to delete folders from memory card...
People DON'T buy this fon !!

Its a full waste of money. i realised it very soon just within a month of buying this. I was in haste so dint research much on it.
The biggest problem is in the basic use of this fone. It just abruptly get restarted inbetween a call. Almost happens daily.
It hangs out of nowhere while alarm was buzzing one fine morning and then alarm kept on going until i pulled the battery out.
battery life is badddddddddddd.
camera is pathetic ...
please dont waste your money on this.........

hey guys..once u installed the firmware ver. 3.63 the phone works excellent ..no restarting or freezing..just be sure to get it from nokia site and download it by nokia software updater..

actually i am planning to buy this fone....but due to the feadbacks of ur opinions guys!!! am getting hesitant i must stick to my N95 mobile.....:) God Speed!!!!

Could some please give me thw link where the firmware is available for Nokia 5310 ? I have some hanging issues while Playing teh music and it switch off in middle of the call or music play.

The 5310 batterys great compared to 6300 an other nokias ive had n95 n73 etc

Browsing several forums & saw that
the ringtones is low during music playback.
(say the phone is in front shirt pocket or hanging off your neck)
What if there is no music playing?
Does it matter the pitch of the ringtone?
If the phone was on vibrate, can you not feel the call coming?
when music is using speakerfone, is ringtone still low?
