To Krous-- Go to nokia care centre and get the firmware updated to v.4.21. As of now , it cannot be updated via nokia software updater in few countries . So , the only other best option is to get it updated via nokia care.

When I try to up date my firmware to 4.12 it shows that the
Current :3.27
Update :3.27
So I cancel the process.
Do I have to proceed with that or I did not down lode the proper firmware?
Pleas advice me

i'm also having v4.21 but not having any problem with headset. by the way, default one is hs-44, not hs-16.

To Suhan--Tell me one thing. U said that u r getting distortion. So , are u getting the disturbance when u play through loudspeakers also ? Or is the disturbance in sound only via headphones/headset ? If yes , then be 100 percent sure that the problem is frm ur headset , not because of firmware update. Because , whenever thr is a firmware update , be sure that thr will be an improvement in the handset. And with regard to 5700's firmware update , thr has been so many noticeable improvements when compared to previous versions.

hello to all 5700 users .plz help me all the users i am in trouble is that after updateing my 5700 firmware 4.21 i realize that when i am listining music in ear phone or head phone nokia hs-16 the sound taht comes out is noisy and also with lot of distortion did other those who have this sw version 4.21 have also realize same .i was aslo tryed it on my frnds 5700 there is also same problem after update by vesion 4.21 thats why i think that nokia raise the sound pitch of 5700 beyond its boundry plz all of u users of 5700 please give attention on sound quality . if it is true than it is be very serious problem for all of us 5700 users because this is the phone which main lead for music . plz help me frnds its great trouble for me reply fast plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.i wants all of 5700 users review on music quality they experienced in version 4.21 .thanks plzzzzzzzz reply

You are also using version 4.21, are you also facing similar problem/noise while listening to music. If i remember correctly than You did not mention any such thing in your review.

I think you should rush to nokia care. this should come by default. even the first version i.e. 3.27 do not have such bugs.

Yeah, lots of it. But i'm still not contented because i have so much music. having an iPod is great. but what i need is an all-in-one device - phone/browser/music player.
and by the way, though i use a 4gb card, the phone isn't slowing down. browsing the gallery and file manager is not a fuzz. and you're right, it's just like using a 512MB microSD.

ei thank ashes.. im from phil too, im at las piñas..cant tell which to buy now but money wise, gotta go to 5700.. here at sm southmall it range from 11,000 to 11,500..
