Turin0, 30 Aug 2008Helo. Im a 5700 user. I want to buy a new phone. Im choosin... moreN81 8GB - if you want a great music phone with excellent sound quality and good gaming functions but don't care about the camera and GPS. The 8GB built-in memory is a big plus.
N78 - if you want an all-in-one device but the performance is just average, like its music player, sound quality and speakers are below par with N81. Also you have to buy an additional memory card if you want to fill it up with a lot of music.
N78 may seem better in form factor but yes, it does creak indeed - the back cover, the sides, the buttons (alphanumeric and soft keys) are hard to press. N81 8GB is a slider but slide mechanism is smooth. So if you don't care about the camera, gps, hsdpa - go for N81 8GB.
Otherwise, choose N78 if you want everything in a phone but sound quality through the headset and speakers is a worse.

Helo. Im a 5700 user. I want to buy a new phone. Im choosing am0ng N81 8GB, N78 at N82. Here in SM Northedsa, N78 is only 16k, N82 is 19k, and N81 8GB is 15k. I want N81 8GB becos Im a music adDict and it has a large memory already, no need to buy an extra mem0ry card. It already has 3g, wifi, 2.4" screEn, naviwheel, stereo speakers, 3.5mm jack, ngage and becos it's nseries, the galLery is a r0tating 3D gallery unlike 5700 w/c is only plain gallery. I think N81 8Gb is the best buy 4 me. But I saw N78 and it's only 16k now, only 1k is the difference between N81 8Gb & N78. And N78 has a lot m0re fEatUres becos it has 3.2mp camera w/ Carl Zeiss optics & autofocus, VGA video, wifi , HSDPA, GPS, FM transmitTer, naviwheel, FP2. So Im realLy c0nfused. I cant dEcidE if i will go f0r N81 8Gb or N78. My c0ncern is h0w g0od is N78 as a music player, the s0und of speaker, w/c has better s0und in headset & speaker? I lyk the dEsiGn of N78 but they say that it's build is creaky and it's pr0ne to scratches. Im realLy c0nfusEd.

@Dani im n0t a brand bias,if ill be gven a chance,ill go for se w902 but it lacks functi0nality c0mpare to d pr0ducts of nokia whch have symbian os.symbian os is what i need.well if symbian os wil n0t pr0duce any symbian f0ne,and the whole world wil be subjected to use only java f0nes,ill ch0ose SE,SE are g0od in making java f0nes,c0mpare to n0kia.thats my p0int aha aha,h0pe u like it aha aha.lol

So it isn't good for us (atleast for us)... But then SE are great phones for you thats fine. You can never ask for someone to stop for being brand bias coz it always in existence! remember that...

hEy i want to tell something.... NOKIA is the best..!!
i have nokia 5700, it was slipped in the flush but when i took it out it was no harm to it.....!!
i recommend u all nokia
cauz its the best!!!

Sure bro i hope N85 its not delayed like N96 bcoz now I am finally seeing a All in one Nokia Phone dat 2 vid some speed wich Nokia Devices required badly from the days of Nokia 6600. Even Wen I had Nokia 6600 I felt good but its speed really made me mad. But now from N85 only infrared port is missing!!!lol!!Rest all new features are present!! Tke Cre

U r rite bro........the N96 is really good but With N85 the sweet spot of a all in one multimedia powerhouse in MID RANGE i.e. it won't cost a bomb and provide me with all the basics things I now want in my phone after being with my 5700 for now i.e. 5 mpx vid cam cover, wi fi, bigger battery, superior music quality, good screen, ngage support, memory and lastly latest symbian vid fp2!! N96 launch price would be really high in India when it gets finally launched I know!! So I would be better off wid N85 but when it would get released is the issue now........

One more thing, cancel N96 and go for N85. It's better. Are we ever gonna use 16Gb? Answer is no. N96 has DVB-H receiver which is of no use to people in india.
