using it for a month plus now and feel that it is a very good fone.i really like the sensitivity of the touchscreen as compared to other touch screen fones.only setback is the camera,,,very noisy images. otherwise its the perfect touchscreen fone...

eno, 14 May 2009i have updated to v21....and its more faster and touchscree... moreWith V21, you get a notification light for emails also (in addition to calls, sms)..also, the light flahses twice..During text entry pressing ‘*’ key brings up a fullscreen selection of characters..you can make the menu button ‘breathe’ when the phone is in standby

brynn, 13 May 2009I am using laptop with windows vista home premium..It canno... morehello buddy. ya ur right. the ovi of the 5800 is not read in laptop. itis not the fault of the cd. but its the fault of the lap top. bcoz the ovi cd given with the 5800 is small. but the laser in the laptop is present at the corner. so it cannot read it. do tru it on desktop it is better. any time any doubt. do ask me. will try my best to reply u buddy. have a nice time

Anonymous, 14 May 2009So far my experiences tells me that OS Vista isn't compitib... morethanks,,my dad has windows xp desktop so will try when next visit him,,i know i dont have to get updater cause its already on his comp cause of problems with vista in past with n73,,n80,n93,etc..It took about 2 months to get the n95 working on vista when n95 first come out and 3 months on vista to get my bluetooth dongle to get accepted by vista..What i do to get somethings working on vista is when options come up i hit : ask me later : again and again till the box of options gives up cause i know all is working and all the drivers are their its just vista tight security over reacting...
I find vista is only doing its job most of the time since it was built from the ground up with security n mind..IT certainly was not built with RAM in mind..Anyhow v21 brings new options which i am finding bit by bit..
Am studying computer science at moment at home to get somewhere when reccession ends..It is my obssession with the mobile fone gadget that has helped my understanding of computers at a general level..At moment using shelf stacking and niteclub door supervision to get funds which is not ideal but sorting the drunks pays well its just the same agro every night..

Anonymous, 13 May 2009Oh yes got update finally from v11 to v21,,best thing so fa... morei am using sim free 5800 fone in uk using o2 and voda sims but my contract is with voda uk..I updated my fone over wi-fi using the *#0000# method..It was o2 that sent me a txt saying an update was ready for my fone..I could not get my laptop to recognise my 5800 so at moment will never know what nokia updater version is showing on nokia software updater..

Paul, 12 May 2009"To take close-up photos its better to use the camera in th... moreOh i forgot to mention that the shutter speed slows down a bit when you're using the camera in night mode. so make sure you keep your hands steady while taking the images or they will look a bit blurred. Auto-mode is good for taking photos under good light but won't help you much in a darker environment.
