hi guys, where could you get a free divx (avi, mpeg) player for the 5800? i just love the phone but im hoping it could play divx files. Thanks in advance!

Its overall a nice phone.It works well though its processor is not fast enough.Battery life not good.Camera not very good. But music experience is awsome like ipod.
But its very good handy phone set with its price range.

Killersmith, 04 May 20092.8mb not 8mb. Because i already had version20. I live in M... moreisnt that slow?.... Its just like having an edge fone.... My 6630 is faster than that... I got 50kbps... And its on the peak time.... Lol....

I MADE IT !!!
Hey Guyzz I have just updated my nokia 5800 from 20 version to 21 version from the mobile it self its very very easy and very simple nothing to worry I will share with you peoples hold on.
Simple Steps :
Type *#0000#
Click Option
Check for Update through your wifi connection or internet connection.
here your updating started.
Finally switch it OFF and then again re-start it after you see update completed other wise you will not be able to make any call out side.
REMEMBER ALWAYS :
When ever you update any thing in your Mobile or also in your Computer always shut down or switch OFF your mobile set then again switch it on.
I hope I made it simply very very clear to all my Nokia 5800 Lovers, I really luv this phone a lot and I do care it as like my baby , Ooops me not married ..lolzzzz.
Thanks Nokia for all your support & effort please kindly do something for yellow smily faces too. I hope Nokia is reading my comments on this and may very soon will be working on it.

Hi people,
I did an upgrade not too long ago to V20. The issue I have now is that the screen goes very blurred and u cannot read or make out anything. U have to keep pressing a key for a minute or 2 and then it become clear again. Leave it for a few minutes unattended or lock the screen and it happens again.
When this happens calls cannot be visible but u can hear. Have done the *#7780# and hard reset. No change. Actually worse. It is just blurred now and cannot do anything after restart.
Help please?

i still have problem watching movies on this phone. i've transferred a movie from itune to my 5800, and play it. But it didn't work, says General system error! anyone who knows the solution? thanks.

Rajesh w... moreI forgot to put my name on that last post but yes Rajesh ended up doing a tips and tricks download in the end,,he was a great help and went to a lot of effort..Their seems to be too much bickering these days which is allowed but in depth discussions,,real help and any good secrets/tips are lacking..They got the d900 right along with s/e k750 and sharp gx10/30 being some of the decent handsets on my fone journey..
I have mixed feelings since symbian entered the third edition,,i still use the 6630 to go out with and it just seems to fit in the hand with the keys in the right place and the screen in the correct proportions and lots of working apps..The screens of today are too skinny with no width,,after using the treo 500v it makes sense the screen being in landscape mode and the qwerty worked great,,it was only the cam letting things down..I cant seem to get that buzz anymore about the current fones cause they are releasing too many..I would rather see less new fones and better working units straight away rather than them being chucked out full of bugs..For me i do not like full touchscreens but a touchscreen with slide down qwerty like treo 500v or blackberry like the new palm is what i would like "but" in symbian...

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970V22 is not out yet.....its v21. You can install it via nokia sofware updater or directly from your fone.
Dial *#0000#, then go to options-check for updates.

The prob started when i installed v20. The prox sensor slowed down and my fone hanged during calls due to this. But all these bugs are removed in v21.

Last night i was watching youtube videos on my symbian browser. 24kbps average dl speed. Sometimes it went upto 30.11kbps. Even my pc doesnt give such high speeds. And i downloaded over 30mb of data last nite.
