phone book, 04 May 2009Phonebook: Practically unlimited entries and fields, th... morethe did not say it was unlimited btu practily unlimited there is a difference between the 2 how ever tho lets do some maths i have 63 contacts in my phone most of them havin 2 #'s and it only takes up 32kb of memory see how much u can fit on 1mb. . . .

the above info is wrong.
it is not possible to save the contacts to the memory card, can only save in the phone memory, so it is not "unlimited".

I can't ... moreI remember your name back about 2 years ago,,first i thought it was samsung d900 but thats Rajesh so it must have been early n95-1 forum..I have had that many fones but you did give out some helpfull advice..Ive tried nemesis code changer to update but its seems its not ready for 5800,,but i used it successfully to debrand my voda n95-1 with breath held tight,,its pretty scary stuff cause if you get any bit wrong or confused its off to service centre and hope they are in good mood..
I cannot give advice to people as much as i would like about 5800 because its nowhere near its full potential yet for me cause of the many updates still to come plus software compatability buts its a brilliant device..I know what i find different and that its not n-series and miss things like text 2 speech and whole host of things that are on n85..That said the n97 is on way but tests prove its sonics are not as good but i am tempted except for the huge price tag...

I can't possibly do that over the air with a pay as you go plan. I wonder why your own opgrade is about 8Mb. Could it be because you already have v20? My version is still v10.
Funny thing i don't get any of those complaints that ppl talk about. No hangs, etc. The only thing is i could not take pictures with the front camera like i do with my n78 or my previous 5700 and 6120.

Still dont like the camera. Some say it has improved but i didnt find much of a difference. I had some prob with gallery and my fone used to hang during calls due to awkward behaviour of proximity sensor. Both my probs are gone now. I love my 5800 even more.

2.8mb dl overair. Also no data was lost and i didnt have to install all my apps back. I had to whn i updated to version 20 via pc suite. My advise, if you have a good data plan, update from the fone, not pc suite.

brynn, 03 May 2009Another little fact about 5800 is its records in stereo,,yo... moreLol....the one on the left side is the landyard eyelet, not mic. It is used to insert the plectrum strap. And 5800 does not record sound in stereo.
Still, this fone has better features compared to other touch screen phones in this price bracket.

Still trouble then its hard luck but do try pizero.net for good themes that are tested and legible for 5800,,it still tells me its not compatible with fone but i just carried on..I am still waiting for things

Another little fact about 5800 is its records in stereo,,you can see one mic on bottom of fone and one on left side..I found this out on a site i found on a link in symbian guru or all about symbian..

I still don't understand why Nokia sat there all these years to allow iphone come to the market to confuse us as if they are having the best OS.
I don't no what iphone meant by bringing out the 3G. There is actually no difference between the 2G. Only the band which is even tri-band i.e. American version.
No good camera - 2mpx i.e no good picture. I don't know why u make phone without radio in this modern world.
Please, if u don't know how to make good phone with all the needed features please talk to NOKIA to assist you.
N5800 is too good phone. It supports documents viewer and i like the voice command feature. One good thing is it has an external memory i.e. i can remove card and slot it on to other phone.
Iphone please check the bases before you come out with a newer version. We don't need so much noise and price with little offering.
Nokia push on more opportunities but be fast.

Altamash, 03 May 2009plzzzz anyone advice me that i want to buy 5800 is it goooo... moredude considering the price to feature ratio it is the best phone in the market & after V21 the OS reliability & cam quality is much better & it always was xtremly easy to use plus the speakers r unlike anything ive ever heard in a phone plus u hav awesome free apps frm nokia itself. & there is also a primitive MULTI TOUCH game being built.
just close your eyes & buy this thing

cool99_aj, 03 May 2009any difference in camera picture quality???????? yes. lot less noise in the result. & the pics r good now, still not n73 or k800 quality but better than 5610 now. plus there r 2 added features to the camera, an 18 pic burst mode & the front cam is also usable
