I'm very interested in buying a nokia 5800 ... morehey there, i think a blue one is more sexy on a gal, and for the lock... yes there is a lock u can set a number from the security settings on the phone and it will lock it self in a given time like 1 minute or any other time u set, and u'll have to unlock it every time u want to use the phone.

All the people trying to buy the Nokia 5800 express on the internet please make sure you are buying the original version an not the copy,as i bought a copy to try to get use to the touch screen features an i couldn"t believe the quality of the phone i bought,an you could easily think its the original one as the box an the phone looked exactly the same as the Nokia one,so read the correct discription before buying the phone an not getting ripped off by the seller

This phone carries a lot of the N95 features, however, one area that the iphone beats Nokia hands down, is providing a way to extend the features of the phone....the apps !! This is huge ! I hate to say it, but the iphone wins here. To do what I do with my ipone on the 5800 will cost 10 - 50 times more. So you not only pay 399 for the phone but you pay more in apps. Think about this folks when you buy a phone. If you basic, then ok. There seems to be a lot of gimmick apps for it rather than really useful. Nokia help! I want to get rid of my iphone.

You people don't understand all the so called 'MAIN DISADVANTAGES' have been fixed in the latest firmware apart from micro-usb charging!!(the battery life is very good anyways)

Jamie, 26 Feb 2009I Have Tried Out This Phone And I Have Found That To Text O... moreTexting is not bad actually because i'm used the T9 on the numeric keypad. And this phone has T9 numeric virtual keypad... which has alot of space . I wouldn't use the fullsize keyboard tho... i think that needs TONS of practice cause it's so small.
But of course don't expect you can be texting like your on a blackberry but expect to text like ur on a regular phone

I Have Tried Out This Phone And I Have Found That To Text On It Isn't Exactly Difficult But It Takes A Bit Of Time, In Comparison To Having Normal Buttons.
After Using It For A While Does This Become Easier Or Not? As I Text A Lot And I'm Thinking Of Getting This Phone Or The Samsung S8300 UltraTouch When It Comes Out.

Updating the firmware to v20.0.012 sorts out many of the issues.
- Geotagging information now available in Camera.
- Dictionary application added, with support for multiple languages.
- App. update application added - this is used to update individual Nokia applications outside of firmware updates.
- General operation seems smoother, better performance in various applications, including Gallery, plus screen rotations are faster.
- Playing back Flash/FLV videos had less hiccups, especially on YouTube.
- ‘Search’ on the standby screen now searches phone content as well as on the internet.
- Cosmetic effects added, especially in Gallery when switching orientation.
- The usual small bug fixes.

Hey, Im interested in buying the 5800, can anyone advise me on a few things first:can you really download as many songs from Nokia for the first year and how does this work if I am on T-mobile? Also is there any way of having a track id service on this phone and, does the web browser have a flash player so can watch live feeds such as sport?
