THE only main complaint should be why we cannt have widgets on this phone just like the n97 can have.
software multitouch should included in firmaware, this faeture is good for zooming in web browser and image viewing.
hope nokia will relaese 5800XMi in the near future.:) with 5 MP camera with xenon

I own the phone...two weeks ago.and i can say its worth the money...it has all the features...sound quality is good....esp the songs and vids that are preloaded....touch screen is superb...when touched you can feel it..(a pressing feel).There is a sturdy case which you get along with it...very well packaged with all the necessary accessories..
if anyone wants to buy a touchscreen phone ...this is certainly worth the money....(please ask if you have any queries)

K, 12 Feb 2009Which one looks better.the blue or the red onei have the red one..and its nice..especially in the dark....it glows...like you can see on the divider on the roads on highways at night..go for the red...its sexy

I have got my 5800 two days back (previous user of the great 5700 which I could not part with and gave to my wife) and I am enjoying it. But I could not upgrade it to v20 firmware. I think its not yet available for Indian users. My default firmware is 11.0.008. Is there anybody from India who have successfully updated to v20 or is their any alternate way to this.

jus got it a week ago.... so far so gud. the stereo is gud, touch screen really good as it is fast in application. worth getting it.

N97 is powerful.
5800XM is great and worths the money.
The disadvantages listed in the reviews in this site can be solved by the Nokia software update and 3rd party software developer, Skype and Nimbuzz and Talkanaut(Beta status) and Gizmo are what I want so badly for 5800XM.
Camera issue - Hope the branded len in 5800 lives up to Nokian expectation and hope the sofware update solve it asap
and this baby is cheap so everyone can now own an good and cheap touch screen phone!!!

hi,
does anyone know about any 3rd party camara software which may be used on symbian phones?
Sometimes the image quality is affected by the image processing algorithms used in the camera software. I want to try a diffrent camera software to see whether it's the camera itself or the built in nokia image processing algorithm is the cause of the poor image quality.
Also 3rd party camera softwares should allow mw to turn off the shutter sound which I cant do with the built in camera software.

rocker, 12 Feb 2009i bought now nokia 5800.its version is 11.kindly tell me do... moreyou are missing lots of new features. There are lot bugs in the 11 version. No secondary camera in 11. All notable glithces have been corrected and its much faster in 20 version. So i highly suggest you to update via "Nokia Software updater". Note 119.8 MB is to be downloaded, so it will take time. Remove memory card and put in general mode, make sure battery is full or enough, back up all the data for the safe side.

v20 look better than the old version,
the music icon which located in the menu changed to a nicer icon
the software updater icon added in Application
dictionary which support many language that can be downloaded from nokia support been added
can use the search to search file again just like N95
second camera can be use to capture pic/rec video just like the old s60
overall, the system speed been improved
