I have ordered the black version. But it is not in storage at the moment, they expect in two weeks. I am very curious to this phone.
First i had Samsung Pixon, very good response on the touchscreen, but a very borring phone and loud but bad sound quality too. Hope Nokia 5800 will be much better.

High-end Nokia phones are made in Finland.
For example, my mum's E71 was made there.
My older brother's 6500 slide and my 5220 were made in Hungary.
Tomorrow I'll check were my friend's 5800 was made.
Now I'm curious... I think it depends on the market they sell it in the end. Some people were complaining that their 5220 were "Made in China" and had lots of problems. Mine never had those problems.

Raz, 10 Feb 2009Everything looks cool but camera image quality sucks isn't ... morei agree with you brother, i don;t believe its carl zeiss 3.2mp.....and the sound quality sucks as well, my 5610xpress musix and n81 was far better...its only and only touch screen nothing else

Really great value! Its got GPS, Wi-Fi, BBCi player! u UK folks only!, camera not fantastic but 3.2 by Nokias C. ziess makes up for it! Still takes good shots! and it is symbian based, so its unlimited what you can do with the phone!!
Seen it on Batman also so def a rep phone! Also seen it for £15 a mnth!!
WTF? Thats great for £200+ phone!! Nokia have pushed all out with this phone.
GREAT SPEC, GREAT DESIGN FOR MONEY!! 8/10

been using this phone for 3weeks now and its a joy to use...but the camera is not that good.
Its made in china---why is nokia not made in finland nowadays ?

cavalier, 11 Feb 2009Well... I charge the battery only when it is emptied.. my q... moreI recommend you to turn off 3.5G when not in use to save battery.. follow these steps.. go to menu > setting > connectivity > network > network mode> choose GSM.. good luck!!

Anonymous, 11 Feb 2009Yes as u said 5800 camera sucks..Yes, I think n82 is the best phone Nokia has ever made in recent times. Although the silver one looks ugly, the black one is okay. It's really worth it's price. I only wish that it could be a little thinner !

I am not happy with the picture quality provided in the review. Recently Nokia is not doing well in terms of camera performance. The images are getting oversharpened, small details are full of noise. Even with Carl Zeiss Optics. Even the new 5mp n79 camera have these issues.
I dont understand why the image quality has degraded recently as Nokia has made really good cameraphones in the past like n95, n73, n82 etc...
I really loved this phone, but camera is a key criteria for me to pick up a phone, so I'll pass it. I'll get a n82 black edition instead.

cedric, 11 Feb 2009please can someone advise me? actually i have the 5310 one ... moremy first phone is N gage,then 7610, 5310, N70, N73, N81, and the last is 5800..i feel this phone is the good one.about camera is not bad, if you compare wiyh 5310, 5800 is better than 5310..but if you compare wiyh N73 is not quiet good..but 5800 is still the best for me...so buy it...
