hey ppol how may i know if my 5800 is made from what country? the best make is from hungary since theyd stop producing in finland.

kkkk4, 05 Feb 2009hey guy, buy nokia 5800 cus it has all what G900 has.additi... moreits not even close to G900, actually it is way better than G900... i used to have that phone(G900) the photos get corrupted every now and then speaker is not that loud even with mega bass and its very slow... thats why i sell my G900 and get my new baby here the nokia 5800...

I brought this phone last week..n its the gr8est phone ever made in this world..soooo amazing..no phone in dis world can top this one..Nokia has done it dis time..i would not suggest anyyy 1 to buy dis phone..coz i want the gr8est phone of all time only 2 b mine..plz dont buy it..its only mine..mine..mine..

Nothing special, and can be fixed with a newest firmware. You can only check phone for viruses before that action, there are some of them that are causing messaging problems.

Its just good in looks but features are not quite good, over all phone is OK.

If the sim is able to send an SMS from another handset then the simcard/Network is not the fault.
Try the following:
Go Messaging, options, Settings, Text message. You will see "Message Centres" at the top, second will be message centre in use, it must say "Sim Message Centre"

trying to decide to upgrade to a 5800 or N96.
i have a N95 hence why i wanted the N96, but they wont give me the N96. whats the 2 phones like or is the N96 much diff friom the N95? thanks

SAD NEWS !!!!
There is No Smily faces in this Nokia 5800 we have to send alphabetics text only without any smily faces & that is really Irritating guyz :(

This phone is good for nothing.
I really disappointed after using this phone. Battery life is very low, Touch screen doesn’t work properly, and you’ve to force push to do something in screen. Its make noise when I am talking with others. When Incoming calls come it can show this mobile no. day by day I am getting new problems.
Just display going to black dark…….
It’s made by nokia in chaina…..
I really upset to bought this phone. I never thought that NOKIA CAN DO SUCH THINGS
