Hello ppl,
I live in Bangalore, India..
If anyone got a scratch( screen) guard for their 5800, please let me know. Because i inquired in quite a couple of shops but none of them had a screen guard for 5800. the one given by nokia with the lines on it is annoying.
Everyone else, please let me know if the screen gets scratched if we use the fone without the screen guard. Is it scratch proof like the iphone????
somehow i feel the fone is a fingerprint magnet.
Also, can anyone guide me how to start using GPS? i have internet activated from Vodafone

Unfortunately even the german version (made in Hungary) 5800 I bought is not immune to the ear piece problem. I bought my 5800 5 days ago and the ear piece stopped working as expected. Fixed it in 5 mins , video on how to fix it is available on youtube, you don't even need any instruments, just need to bend two contacts which have come loose.

DOES THE NOKIA 5800 HAS EXCHANGABLE COVERS??
well i have been having this problem with my n81. I could not change the cover of the fone so all the scratch in the side cannot be remove by simply buying a new cover. of course you cant escape the fact that it could fall and get a scratch. i have been planning to buy this fone im from Philippines plss help people!! Tnx

Thanks Mr. Gopal for your Opinion don't worry dear Insha Allah I will purchase this mobile from Deira City center at Axiom Telecom with 2 years complete warranty & 1 Year complete Insurance for 1475 dhs only rest of the headach upto them why should I take 2 years is much enough by the time N78 will launch !!!

Brother..... U seem not to have used the fone well.. the feature u have described above works fine in the 5800.. try it out with ur contacts or messages...

i asked many dealers, noone knows about this head fone issue...
i would like to get a sennheiser headphones with 5800
as nokia headphones do give me trouble for long time listening.

do'nt buy nokia 5800 bec'z it marketed by nokia without proper quality control. i purchase yesterday for rs 19500 and today i visit nokia service center for 5800 with problem that it not auto adjust date-time when restarting phone. service center unable to solve problem and now my set is in replace/repair process and god knows how much time it will take. seller commit me for 2-3 days. now i can only wait...............

its working good until now its working properly but when u are going to purchase, u should check with 'on'the mobile and need full check of screen, because some phone is showing a white dot on the screen and for reparing that problem we should wait 2 weeks

You can choose Automatic ... moreit is not working my set is currenty at service center. they are also unable to solve problem, now i can only wait after expend 20000 rs to replace that by nokia. its remarkable that nokia marketing these type of premium quality mobile without proper quality control

Hi Friends I stay in UAE - Dubai Its a Gulf country my question is to ask that is there any one from this country who had bought Nokia 5800 & experienced it working well because using it here in Gulf countries is different from other countries as thier services are diffrent from each other and have seperate other application too, so please .. please kindly let me now if someone has bouught this Nokia 5800 is there any complain or it is working fine because i'm very much intrested to buy this product soonly
