"speaker volume fluctuation"
for those of you still observing the fluctuation in volume during calls, please take your set to the nearest noklia care centre they'll fix it in no time. i had same problem now it's as good as new. don't try to open your set and fix it, you might end up damaging it or voiding the warranty!

"nokia 5800 photo quality remedy"
ps: info posted below is entirely my opinion and non other.
first it's true 5800 picture quality and UI is below expectation. my n78 photo quality same 3.2mp is way better compared to 5800.
back to subject, 5800 allows you to define your own custom photo settings. after playing around with the settings trying to find a way to improve picture quality, i was able to get a better setting which i now use to take photos similar to n78 quality.
-> goto camera, open user defined and make following changes:
1.based on scene mode, select "night".
2. sharpness,select "soft"
you may choose to leave every other setting the way it is.
this will improve the picture quality but don't forget it's still a 3.2mp
it's too early to start whining about the poor performance of 5800, be patient and let nokia release an update to firmware and all will be fine :-)

this morning i upgraded my software to version11. After that i am experiencing dropped calls. The other line hears me but i cant hear the callers voice. Also is it a featurd of new software version that the menu changes colors, like into green then bak into gray. When i type msg, keys will be red then back again to gray. Other olors are blue and violet. Its annoying, anyone of you experiencing same conditions? Pls share your experience and how to solve this

When I try to enter in Application Manager on my PC by OVI Suite, then my pc gets restart !! Any solution? plz help..

hmm, i like nokia better then apple but i must say that apple knows how to make a touch phones or ipod better then nokia. the only thing i think this phone is missing is that on the ipod or iphone u can just flick your finger 2 go down or up but on this u have 2 use the side bar, and that can be hard at sometimes, i hope the get this in the n97 but if not im sure they should have it on the n98, but as you al would know this phone is 1st of itz kind, just like the 1st s60 phone they still around 2day, and this will stay around for a bit to, but just like then 1st s60 phone it was missing so much

I got this phone 2 weeks back & since day one every time i try to type something it HANGS... Is there any new software update..
please share or i might just sell it of back... :-(

What NOKIA should ''repair'' in the next FWs:
-Completly new camera driver specially for low light(horizontal lines of noise!!) dude the K800 is a 3mp phone of 2007 with far better results!!
-50% faster menu
-150% faster photos sliding and zooming
-Increase sensitivity of the touch screen,YES it can be made by FW just go and see how Samsung P2 mp3 player is sensitive now(very close to iphone)
-Less video player bugs
-Less under charger bugs
Apart the FW Nokia should propose:
-More original themes
-More apps
-Games and fun apps like on the iphone(like the fog app)

I bought this phone as soon as it is launched.
It's not so great. It hangs often and the applications are damn slow. I'm really worried after shelling out 19K got stuck with such a device.

Its picture quality is too much bad. Picture quality of my NOKIA 6120c is too much better than 5800.

Thank you for the reply...
I tried what you have suggested...i.e. Backed up all data to memory card & switch off- switched on the phone...but still same problem...it shows File corrupted...Installation failed....Is there anything else needs to be done..pls suggest.
