I've been using this phone for almost a week now, and So far its been a great experience. I'm one of the lucky ones who got the 2nd batch that has version 11. So far no problems at all, seems very stable. No earpiece problem either. installed 5 apps, 4 of which are 3rd party apps, no lags no restarts. For me it has a good built quality, no creaks. Great feature at a good price. Any questions you can freely ask.
Just a suggestion to those who are planning to buy this phone. Before purchasing check first the version if it's 11.0.008, then buy it. If its 10.0.008, then wait til the next batch arrives in your place or country, if you can't wait you can just update to version 11. You can check the software version by turning on the phone and entering this on the dialer screen *#0000#
I can say I'm really satisfied with it, no regrets in getting this phone. And by the way mine's made in China. I'll just update my post when something comes up.

i think its paid review , compare n95 8gb , 5800 is crap in sound and audio (ipod is just king), touch screen plastic ,cant dial as we do normally ,no ngage ,worst camera ,no f m transmitter and funny thing is droping price worth to buy below 200 usd ,iphone still at same 700usd ??

I have bought blue 1 (china). But I felt that, music on loudspeaker is not better than n73 (music edition). What do u say?

guyz,i was in the que for 10 hours to buy the handset in Gulshan and i got it with a free bluetooth headset (BH-604).wow,it is great!i love the handset.it is beautiful and functional.

Hello all i just bought 5800 yesterday...so far it has been an amazing experience...but my firmware version is 10. when i want to upgrade the firmware it searches for new upgrades and says no updates available??? What to do? How i can download version 11??can any one help me???

5800 has good features, but itseems the quality of camera and UI is not good. Can someone specify a phone with similar features of 5800, but without those problems? Urgent..need to buy a phone immediatly

Andy, 20 Jan 2009N96 and 5800 i think more better is 5800... because it mor... moreplease don't even think of buying 96. It's the biggest flop in the history of nokia. If u have the money to buy 96 then i would suggestu wait for couple of months more and buy a true technological marvel n97. If u can't wait tha long then u should go for 5800.or 85 or79. all of them zre way better tan 96.

Amar, 20 Jan 2009How do U download and its fine.Can any body else to instruc... morei have never had any kind of problem with downloading and installingthe fikes. I have downloaded all of them and installed them even if i dont need them. Just visit the download folder from your phone and update the view which the phone would prompt automatically. Then just click on the files u wanto download. After completion ofdownload u click a place to save in the memory card as it has alot of free spaces. And voalla u r ready to go. After the completion of installation the phone will automatically prompt u to start the program or not. And thzt's it as easy as that. If u still have a problem then take ur phone to nokia care and throw it on the heqd of the head of incharge there for selling u a problematic phone!

N96 and 5800 i think more better is 5800...
because it more cheap then N96 and the function is complate...that just my opinion..

By the mercy of God i don't have anyproblem at all, i have seen the chinese one, i dont know if its me or not but it looked old. And alot of complains coming from the users of the chinese versions,it also creaks while typing. Now to the typing msg topic The set is a great asset to type in. Most of my writing in here is done by it. And typing wes the main reason i sold my 2months old perfectly ok n79 for it. The full qwerty is a blessing, and its one of the finest and fastest thumbboard available in market,its even better than iphone's by mobile-review . Com. ANd the handwriting is lso great. The abc is as like a normal phone but the mini qwerty is totaly useless! But who needs that when u have the full one. Its really easy and fast to type here. But u need to get used to it. I am also a first time user of touch phones and it took me half a day to get used to it. Infact i love typing with it so much that i frequently write notes and keep it as a daily journal! Mine one made in hungary as uhave guessed it by now, please don't but the chinese one. In our coumtry the difference of price was 100$ in between the two but i still opted for the costlier but better Hungarian one as i read the reviews of the users of the chinese ones! Should I go for 5800 or N96 . I need a quick answer please ; of course with some arguments . I'd go for 5800 but I heard a lot about the ear speaker issue :(

the fact is "the more you spend, the more you get".if you really want a touch screen phone then plz try to get HTC.if you can't spend then get the 5800

I got mine a couple of weeks back and i am really happy with it. I am however facing an issue with download. Everytime i go download it gives me an unrecoverable error and shuts down the application. I am able to browse the internet just fine otherwise. I guess some hanging download has corrupted something. Does anyone has any idea on how to rectify it.
