The 5800 is selling for £300 plus on eBay...
...consumers need to wait a few more days and buy the phone direct from Nokia for about £250. Or get it free on a tariff of £25 - £35.

Oh ya, one more thing that it can improve in is that the light will not be turned on when there's new message or watsoever. The touchsreen will lock itself after a duration of time. So when u wanna read message or accept request from bluetooth, it's actually quite troublesome to use the slider. Juz my few cent.

Juz leave those who left a negative comment alone. I m sorry if they hav had the phone and had a bad ugly experienced. For me, I juz bought the phone yesterday trading off my n82.
For the previous post, I would answer yes if u plan to trade n82 for this phone leaving alone the camera photo quality as ur key factors. If tat's the not the case, then u better dun get hold of this phone.
Hav been using it for a full 2 days, n not even an error or auto restart of phone.
Mentioning about the cheap plastic mentioned by others, i dun really think so. I feel that it's more comfortable and fit your hand well.
Mentioning bout the stereo speaker, it's improved as the stereo speaker will hav sound bass element in it rather than sharp tone that hurt ur ears.
Overall, i am glad to hav this phone. I hav been changing phone from nokia to se and se to nokia. But considering the price and value ratio, it's really worth the money. I never feel regret trading my n82 for this phone. Kudos to Nokia. I juz hope tat there will be more 3rd party application sooner or later ~ ^^

I can say that you are copying f... moreu r just so right dude!they couldn't win in a argument with us,and when they were retreating by binding their tails inside their legs gsmarena gave them a last ray of hope by giving a harsh and i might say biased review of 5800!
if u haters dont like the phone then who cares?we love it!and nothing u copy paste from gsm is going to change our mind to stop loving this phone!

What the hell Nokia?! The company has millions to produce a good looking phone and end up using Motorola head designer?!!!!! So alas they end up releasing this piece that has symbian ( the most buggy platform next to any thing windows ever make) software!
They've also made the menu increasingly more difficult- settings for tools?
You would think that it's in settings? NOPE it's in tools?????
Don't like the phone even if the manufacterer is Japenese, cos usally they deliver the best! Not in this case !

I can say that you are copying from GSMarena review, taking the bad parts of the Nokia 5800 and claim it as if you are the one who have the phone itself
I can see because the sentences you use are quite similar with the one from the review
so that boasting yourself by saying using your Germany made expensive headphone blah blah blah
just give natural comment IF you only have the phone itself...

I bought this Nokia one week ago and very disappointed with it. At first, when i turned it on, i love the screen which is high res and clear. But then after using it for a while, it annoyed me. The OS is way behind other touchscreen phone. What's the point to always double tab it? And you can't turn it off.
Customization is very limited. The home screen is just useless, just ignore it. Four icons for a 360x640 display? Come on man! The screen is too tall and thin which making applying picture as wallpaper like driving to visit the moon.
What's the point to have that kind of st*pid music palyer? With the supplied earphones, when you plug and listen and adjust all the setting, you'll just say one word: "F-CK!" It suppose to be good at it since it has Express music as marketing sh*t. I replaced the earphones with my expensive german headsets and it still doesn't improve much.
The shape is just so kidding. Look so cheap too and some people are st*pid enough to call this thing beautiful. The stylus is what they call it, but for me, i'd prefer to call it soft-plastic-toothpick.
The lock button on the side of the phone is a bad decision. You'll find it unfriendly in long term. After all its OS is even worse than the cheap LG cookie. It's just the doesn't-work-s60 touch phone.
Buy it! Experience it several days, and trade it to another phone like me.... and next time you see another touch s60, you'll go dizzy.
