I have a few questions for all those u have been using the 5800XM. i have noticed that the icons are really big on the menu. Is there any option to reduce the size of the icons? I find them really annoying. Another question. does the fone come with a stand as a part of the box or is it an accessory? How are the headphones?

zaheed, 05 Jan 2009can any of u pls compare n79 and 5800.leav d camera part. ... more5800 XM is different phone all together..music is excellent, better resln. and display, although texting can be a bit slow as compared to N79 as it has a touch interface..but virtual keywords work well..this phone really is a treat and can beat a lot of phones at anytime of the day..well if consider the camera, although its of 3.2 MP but is decent enough..So go ahead and behold 5800 XM

can any of u pls compare n79 and 5800.leav d camera part.
The thing is i hav n79.and my main priority is browsin net,music,texting and speed.
I can see from d specs that n79 is beaten in evry aspect by 5800,but in real lyf is it true?
Please guys,only d people who used both d phones please compare!
Because i am seriously thinking of selling 79 and buying this one.
Another question,would it b smart 4 me to sell an nseries and replace it with an xpress music.

amit, 05 Jan 2009someone plz give me the answer clearly that is this phone h... moreAmit, I used the demo piece in the Nokia showroom. The fone does NOT have a keypad. but the touch interface works very well. u wont need a keypad because the icons are big and even for sms u can type using the regular 9 digits grid like regular nokia phones. Its reallly good.

I just went n bought this piece. (BTW, I'm an offical reviewer by profession, google me up)
Why?
1] Coz it's a touch phone.
2] Symbian n its features
3] Free large memory card n built-in capacity (also RAM n CPU speed!]
4] Free Sennheiser ear plugs worth Indian Rupees 4000=00, roughly US $80-85.
5] Good looks
6] Interesting Menu n its accessibility features.
7] Awesome Audio output + video output capability.
8] Acceptable camera quality + Bonus Carl Zeiss Lens + twin flash
9] Extremely Aggressive Pricing for such feature rich gadget.
10] I could sell off my 5-month old Samsung BEAT i450 at nearly market value.
Lastly, people learn to appreciate something.
Just becoz Computer Giant Apple launched 2 versions of gadgets that made way for more touch gadgets does not mean u compare everything out there with them.
Even so, consider only these 2 points:
A]
You can't forward messages in either iPhones; you have to re-write the entire thing, not even copy-paste from memory.
B]
You can't transfer anything using Bluetooth in either iPhones. Nada-Zilch-Nothing!
Now, why would somebody in a sane state of mind spend on a gadget that one can't even use to connect their own computers to transfer say via bluetooth, if so needed? forget anti-piracy laws n blah... about MP3 n sharing with ur friends.
What about personal pics, audio conversations, video recorded moments? Does that thing work; NO!
So, see how this one is easily offering what sopmeone else promised (apparently!) n failed (obviously!) to deliver.

pls tell me from which store you puchased in ... moreI found one at Starlink at City Center, Carrefour Villagio and City Center had sold out their stocks so luckily i found one at that store for the same price...the people anyway at Carrefour told me that within two days referring today, new stocks will be available..hope so wont be sold ou again..ha ha
It came with the 8gb and I got the blue one...Gud luck

Guys, anyone can tell me if i can use the 5800 without the styluss ? ? i hate to use that small pen , specially when typing a message, if the keyboard is big enough to use ur fingers, i will buy it
