i wantd 2 ask u if u cn kindly guide me as i'm looking forward to buy ths fone...
1. does it have adequate battery life(without use of wifi,gps and excessive internet surfing)
2.What about sound quality and loudness?
3. is the interface responsive? i mean a touch fone shud b....if (its not it's gonna be a problem)
4.whn txting(using hand writing and on screen keyboard) is it quick and easy to use??

I guess this is the standard price across whole of Kolkata..Thats what the dealer told atleast.

i booked mine from Nokia priority dealer for 2000/- pax. i dont know the exact price of the fone here in chennai. as the same was not known to the dealer. but he said the phone will be available from 1 st or 2 nd of Jan.
I think you can go to your nearest NPD and find out the same.
regarding the free Headset, the offer was from directly Nokia if you book it before 31 st of Dec.So there is no limit of no of bookings per dealer.
Blue and Red colour 5800 will be distributed here in chennai.
If you want anything , then call directly Nokia Care Toll free no and find out.
Hope it clears your doubt.

i have a application which is compatible to 5800 and can be used to lock the phone and application. Unfortunately i didnt have the phone not in my hand yet. expected to get by 1 st or @nd of jan. so just wait , i will test it and give you the link.
i am not useful for your other queries cause i dont have my 5800 with me.

Hi, This ones for you Craig, I prebooked my 5800XM today and im getting a Sennheiser headset with it do u have any idea what headsets being given in the box. Now most importantly i need to know 3 important things,
1) I was using E51 previously and man that was a neat phone. I used to use the application locks software wherein i could password protect individual apps like messages or gallery etc can i do the same in 5800,
2) There was a an application in E51 called conversation wherein my messages are stored as per contacts and not as per date, is it there or can it be installed iin 5800,
3)Can i search thru my apps like can i search for a specific message by typing in a key word?

I'm not sure about Kolkata...In bangalore I found in one of the Nokia Showroom....And they are giving sennheiser headphons free worth of 4k (Only for Pre-Ordered Phones - Price is 21K and you need to pay 2k to pre-order it)....So may be you can try in any of the biggest Nokia Showroom in Kolkata....
