hell, this phone is 100 euros more costy than 6120 which is origialy an economical solution for smart phones and is out for about 2 years now! only if nokia fix some issues with 5800 it will be the revolutionary device of 2009,, and is difinetly my next mobile!

fahad, 17 Dec 2008i cant check my mails on 5800 i dunt knw wats the oprioblem... moreThe problem is Hotmail uses a protocol that is made to work with Microsoft products, you can pay to upgrade it to full email like Gmail or Yahoo or install 3rd party software to do it for you.
That's if anyone makes it for this phone yet, it might be S60 but software has to be rewritten to work with the touchscreen.

Its Chinese made what ever Nokia supervises the cost and end product finish is never the same as made n finland. All electronics goods r chinese made with european ad american even japanese.
The consumer confideence is shattered when he pays for first class product but chinese made. Either the price be halved being only option to buy but never otherwise. Mercedes Benz can never be made n China nobody will buy except Germany even its expensive Get it Folks!

Actually a wast number of 5800 are made in Kazachstan (I hope I spell the name correctly) with Chinese parts. No wonder it has built quality problems.
Also camera is mediocre and music quality is poor.
There is no software support at all. Not even a text editor.
WinMo based phones are years ahead if you look a business tool.
This is a plastic toy for children and immature persons.

I'd like to think we have the hardware technology to run WinMo seamlessly, but I think mobile phones should be left to dedicated mobile firmware companies such as Symbian -there are a whole host of downladable apps, so there's not the same problems there used to be with compatibity with your home PC running Windows.
