For the love of god, stop saying touch screen phones look like the iphone. Theres not much you can customize with a touchscreen phone. The companies are just making a big screen and maybe throwing some buttons. Any which way its just a big rectangle with a big screen.

Hey, GSMARENA dudes, we love you guys (truly) for the reviews... But what about this device? I know the economy sucks and you suddenly updated its price from 280 euro to a lot more, not your fault actually "NOKIA JUST GOT GREEDY". But, I was wondering and also reading other posts carefully those included a large number of requests for GSMARENA's REVIEW, where is it??????

N97 is compared to SE X1 by many people.
SE X1 is free with contract or about 450-500 USD NOW.
N97 is not released in the next 3-4 months at least.
By that time X1 will be 350 USD if it is still around.
How chep Nokia will sell N97 then? :)
I guess not cheap enough!
That will be the problem for Nokia!
Samsung, HTC etc. will offer something better for less.
Nokia is slow!
5800 still has some chance if the price will be dropped fast enough to keep it reasonable compare to HTC, Sansung, LG.
But I think N97 is dead before release.
Sorry Nokia!
Next time be faster and better!

5800 available in the US for a while.
But today the price dropped below 500 USD!
Feel sorry about the high price elsewhere, but the solution is simple - do not buy until it gets reasonable.
SE X1 is now offered for FREE! (with contract)
It was 1200 USD only a few weeks ago.
I think there is no phone worth over 500 Euro on the market today.
In the US, the price of almost all phones suddenly drops to 500 USD or below.
Be practical and responsible!

For those of you the latest on the price of Nokia's 5800 XpressMusic is that it can be orthered for a tad less than 355 euros taxes included. Nokia is trying to keep this phone less expensive than the upcoming model N97. So get this one quick instead. Christmas tidings to ya'll. A

This phone is so overpriced for what it is, I got it as the present and the responsiveness of the touch screen is so slow... 420 Euros :( what a crap !

what rubbish here in italy!!!! in germany nokia 5800 cost is €299 but in italy it's cost €429.A great difference mamma mia. Italy is really a more expensive country in europe i think so..... Good Luck germay u r lucky than italy.i wish in italy it's cost would be same like in germany... but i will buy it becoz i like it very much

i love this phone for two reason that it is a good looking phone and the second one it is touch screen. but the problem with me is that i have never used a touch screen phone but i like this function very much, i have asked some of my friends that how did thay find a touch screen phone thay told that with passing the time touch screen phones create problem like u will put your finger on screen for 3 seconds and then it works..... i am really shocked... is it true?????? plz inform me any touch screen user.. thanks in advance

Hi all crazy nokia users all over the world and Ina.
I still use E61i.but i like this new music series 5800,even there is available yet in sby,but i must know the right price before. in this review,someone from brunei said that 5800 cost B$998 its means in about USD$636. But someone in JKT said us$400. So i guest phone in brunei ,singapore,malaysia,indonesia is not quite far different price. So... Friends in jkt tell me what the right price and where do u buy it? Cos i will visit to sing if this phone available there with cheaper price.
