really there's no point comparing x5800 with the iphone. but for those of us who needs a winner, quick suggestion "nokia n97 vs iphone". let the battle begin!

Nokia N97 has been announced. Few notable specs are- 32gb onboard memory with 16gb expandable. S60v5, nHD 3.5 inch display, ngage support, slide qwerty, 5mp cam, expected prize 550 euro and availability june 2009. I will still be buying 5800 since i can neither afford N97 nor wait till june.

I'm waiting for it's review to be published. I agree that the hardware of the iPhone is great but it lacks functionality, MMS, msg fwd etc. When compared to sony's phone, yes it lacks physical keyboard.. But I really don't need a physical keyboard. This smartphone's functionality is better than any mobile out there.. Just read it's specs..

This phone is really good performance unlike I-phone, coz i just changed from i-phone to this one
i don't like mac-os on i-phone every time i transfer the file via i-tune to the stupidest iphone

Nokia's release dept. is sure becoming less than thorough. The 5800 user guide (online pdf) still has markup comments by one ikinalcz saying: Validator: content should be replaced with "blablabla"!! The usual photograph of the phone on the front page is also missing!!

Awwwwwww!! i just bought this phone 3days back and nw i suppose it's da best phone i've evr used...aftr 3days usage i squeezed out these....
1. the touch screen is ok. responses at my slightest touch, thou i hate to touch twice in the main manu.
2. it's way faster than my N73 & my friend's newly bought N85.
3. the loudspeaker is simply awesome!! 1of the best i've heard.
4. the video watching experinence is the best.
5. the camera is fairly good...the video recordin is cool.
6. the USB transfer speed is preetty fast.
7. I'm havin troubl installin softwares, it supports very few...& i failed to get its version of quick office, PDF and ZIP...anyone can help me with it???

I love this phone, every time i check or read some people compare it the the Apple one..Stop doing that, there is no need it's an awesome device of its own.. And those who don't like it try it before.. and after then you can intelligently say that it's a bad phone.

Placed my order on Sn traders online they charged $586 included shipping and i think it a decent price .. i had some experience with them last time i bought e71 from the same store n i got the delivery within 16 hours
at that time i was totally surprise never saw that much fast service so i hope this time too

John, 01 Dec 2008I am Nokia lover but 5800 is not same as xperia or iphone. ... moreAs far as the xperia1, based on the specifications it can beat the iphone anytime.
the nokia tube is also a full function device (the same as the xperia1), without the slide key pad.
