Thats disappointing, i'd prefer the hard glasas stuff iphone use for there touch. I used the samsung omnia for 2 weeks and it has a plastic touch screen and it was horrible as and it scratched easily too.

If anyone out there who has actually held or has the Nokia 5800, can you please tell me if the touch screen is glass like the iphone 3g or plastic like the Samsung Omnia?

I think in less then a month, the price of this phone will get to normal. Still... I don't think it will be cheaper then 400 euro... With a 3,2 inch screen, a new processor, a 8Gb memory card and a great battery... it just can't be cheap. It's one of the best phones nokia has made untill now

Nokia should of released this phone world wide at the same time. UK will not get this phone till February 2009 and it will be in short supply

the reason why people or online shops are selling ... morethat is absolutely true
somehow online shops got this phone and since nokia didnt quite launch it yet online shops are selling it for more than 900$
but it should hit its original price at around xmas since it should be available to buy anywhere.
im lebanese and here u could book it for 50$ at the company and then wait for 2 months to get it,its crap i dont know y nokia is doing this
but i cant wait anymoreeeeee

But, a device that make you very easy to do browsing and multimedia tasking is highly appreciated. So, maybe for some situation a HTC is better than N95, but in other N95 is better (but I don't believe Iphone can be better than HTC and Nokia, sorry to say...) so just calm down...

will be available in india after 2 to 3 weeks. cost is around Rs 24000/-. Nokia is offering Bluetooth stereo headset free if you book early in Nokia show rooms.One of the finest fone with all the features till date.i love the design and will be giving the details after getting one in my hand.
