Well i really love the set... using it with a custom C6 firmware. Theres kinetic scrolling + performance boost everywhere :)
However theres one thing. Dont know if i am the only one who noticed this , but 5800 (or any of its touch screen brothers from nokia) cannot recreate White on the display . Theres noise (think its problem of transparency of touch screen used)
varies widely from set to set... but most of them cant display clear white!!! :(

Have been using this phone since it was launched. LOVED it the best phone of all time. But now its starting to show its age. I am thinking of upgrading.Any suggestions? I liked Symbian coz of its flexibility as an OS. Had a N93 before this.Thinking of getting the N8 but people tell me if i want flexibility i should go for Android. wat should i do? I am thinkin bout getting the N8 or the DesireHD

To stop alarm / snooze while key pad lock, tap on stop/snooze and move the finger left/right. It'll work. Reply back if it work or not.
The same way works for answering call when the keypad is lock.

anonymous, 06 Oct 2010Why do u want that pathetic phone again.its gud that u hav ... moremy dear ...maybe be this phone is not that bad all...perhaps its features is still relevant after 2 years launched. before C6 and N8 exist.. this phone got about 70% votes, then came C6 (s60v5)n N8 (include c7,c6-01, e7) go down to 25% manage up again to 40% n now only down to 19% that is becos N8 is already in the market. everything comes n go...but some of the current owner will miss this phone....
i'll keep this phone even i buy a new phone....cheers dear..

(not yet try the Joiku apps but with JoikuSpot this 5800 can be a wifi hotspot.

I would like to say about this cell--->
1 and a half year ago,i did a really bad thing.I bought this cell.it costed me Rs.17000.And i think i wasted my 17000 and 17000 went down d drain.
ofcourse being a music phone its gud.sound is good.but the camera is so pathetic that it looks like a VGA phone.Its bad.Camera is just bad.
touch screen is ok ok.not at all good.not bad too.but u can expect a little better touch screen coz ur paying 17000 bucks.
OS:The OS is the worst part of this cell.This phone hangs a lot.and i seriously mean it.A LOT.its really very very slow phone.worst os ever.
And now my screen show lines all over the screen.i just want to get rid of this phone.
Anyone want this cell please reply me.i will give u 17000 bucks wid this cell.YES.i will pay u 17000 rs. and will also give dis cell wid it.
And to the ones who are thinking of buying this handset,the answer is NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
pls add some more money and buy samsung wave .5800 is nothing compared to wave.its like ur comparing 1100 wid nokia n95.hahaha

quite liked the handset when i first received it. however, about 7 months in it started to jam. sometimes it would turn itself off. removal & replacement of the battery was required to bring it back to life. then the screen started to go stripey which obviously meant it couldn't be read. it is now with my network provider for repair.
nokia has always been my phone of choice but now that they are struggling to keep up with OS technology their handsets are becoming more like the cheaper brands. the 5800 xpressmusic may well be my last nokia. shame.

5800 has a poor internal phone capacity!!!
