Its one amazing set!!!!have it for the past year and no issues..its the best touchscreen set so far and very user friendly and love the messaging options!!!

5730 is good but we cant compare with nokia 5800.
no dedicated music player keys.. battery is only 1000mA
no flashlite support.. hence browsing exp will be somewhta bad . .. only single led flash.. musch bulky(135 gm) than nokia 5800.
pls look the stand by time it is just the 300 hours..
nokia 5800 rocks.

It has no touchscreen but it has full "qwerty" keyboard and supports n-gage gaming. A blend of E series + N Series + Xpress Music + Navigation Editions that makes the phone smarter than 5800 xpress music. So the phone is "Jack of all traits, but master of none." But overall its better than 5800.

Bought the mobile two days back, I am a type of person, who explore completely when i get some thing, same, i explored 5800m, installed many aps, etc. good phone :)

I own this phone since 1 week and i have come with the following conclusion:
music player is good with stereo speaker. Loud enough. But i got wh-205 airphone (the worst headset ever created by nokia) with the pack and my phone is made from china, does that make any difference in box equipments, quality or whatever? All of you guys have this one made in hungary? Cuz im disappointed with the uselesd airphone that nokia is providing with the pack.
I'm lil disappointed with the battery back up, wears out pretty faster when played music continuously through external speakers (plays around 7 hours continuously,) its like Ok, not as good as expected from 1350 mah.
touch resppnse is good, if your touch doesn't work well use calibration to make it ok.
internet is good, speed is nice.
camera is good at outdoors but not as good as expected in indoors. Dual led flash is superb, video revording and voice recorder is great!!
Sometimes application gets hanged whiile trying to open multi aplications at the same time and have to remove the battery to make it work again!!
when i went to buy this phone in only authorised nokia shop, they had 5800 with 4gb memory card inside but i payed them the price of 8gb and they gave a 8gb mc of nokia n85 which is made in korea. What is the quality of n0kia memory card made in k0rea? I hope its good. Data transfer speed is good.
Overall, nokia 5800 XpressMusic is a good phone for music l0vers and net users like me. Value of money (totally)
Those who are looking f0rward to buy this, GO FOR IT !! Have great times ahead with 5800 XM :)

Justin, 21 Aug 2010pls dont update ur phone to v.51...it got one major bug and... moreyou will installed completed firmware because your insttalation is corrupted i have alreday update a phone and no problems

Anonymous, 24 Aug 2010Somebody have problems with IM ??ya:-) had a problem with it,when i was on v31 i guess,i upgraded it to v40,and wenever i used to open IM,it did'nt open,the solution is simple..soft reset your phone.it wil solve your problem...(dial *#7370# to soft reset it,this will not delete your messages and contacts,if the problem do not solve,then make a backup via ovi suite in computer and do a hard reset.turn off phone,press button green+red+camera and restart phone while pressing all 3,this will wipe everything from phone.but it will solve any problem in phone,after this you can restore ur data from backup that u made) also you can manually copy,paste important data from memory card in pc and format it,once formatted,copy them back in memory card

The things u can do with this phone is just overwhelming. U can hav android, windows 7, maemo and now u can have nokia C6 firmware. Amazing!!

This phone is perfect, for the price, u can get tis kind of functions fr any other maker/phone. name me any phone tat compares wif tis, i doubt that u'll find any.
Thanks Nokia, n i hope tat they will release soon a new firmware.
