this is the best phone i hav ever found,its affordable,good camera,very good battery backup,fast net browser (defult is the best).
Excellent music input & output too.
Nokia email.
What more u want it has all the features

Battery overheats when using web (not even over-using) Phone has been replaced more than once in the 18 months ive had it. It will slow down on you the more you install/save on it. These are pretty much the only bad points. Generally an OK phone

Does any body knows why this model restarts after sw update to 51.0.006? Usually it hangs when accessing or writing text msg. I formated memory card and phone memory and installed sw update again but problem remains?

Guys i do own this phone since last christmas, n i m proud to have this phone... loads of customizations, continuous support from nokia, and stability are the major parts of it. Lil bit poor touch sensitivity n slow performance are drawbacks.. I m using C6 firmware on it since today morning. n i do have widgetized homescreen as of nokia n97.. No other phones in this universe can be modded like this. If u also want c6 firmware, go n follow instructions at http://www.pnht.org ....

some of my friends say this fone always hang.actually they r still using old firmware such as v11,whereas now we have progressed to v51..they didnt even know a phone can be updated !! i think same thing happen to those ppl here who says this phone always hang..

try swiss pro manager by cellphonesoft or best taskman by Smartphoneware . it got 14days trial if i'm not mistaken.
best taskman will allow u to terminate unneeded process, whereas swiss pro will allow u to set automatic function for terminating idle apps. i 've install both n for me ,i 've longer batt duration n less hangs... both have excellent functions of its own. explore them in GSMarena software. 5800 hangs due the 128mb ram has been fully utilise check Ramblow too from cellphonesoft

vLkS-1995, 22 Aug 2010is there anyone who has this phone longer than 1year and ev... morewell my XM5800 is a year old and it is perfect,,,,,the good things are,the music player is great,the firmware updates which nokia releases improve the performance of the phone.The negatives are when the 8gigs in your phone is full it tends to hang , too much wifi would drain your battery.

V51 is rock solid, fone is fast and web browsing experience is pleasant! Build quality also top notch. Only downside i can think of is feels cheap due to plastic and also i'd have liked better camera, as pics indoors are grainy and video indoors are very poor. Outdoor camera is ok. Other than that this fone is 9/10

I own an Iphone 3gs and Samsung Galaxy also. But I carry 5800 only whenever I go out. I'm now using version 51 in my 5800. Sound quality rocks. Net experience superb.. Cause, compared to my Galaxy and Iphone, Nokia 5800 is having Gprs class 32, which speeds upto 384 kbps on low connectivity and minimum 2 mbps on 3g network. I dropped phone several times by mistake sometimes from 3 to 4 meters height also, but, the phone didn't have any damages, I mean it really. I changed two times the screen scratch guard thats it. I'm not denying the quality of Iphone and Galaxy which I also have. They are superb. But, I can't use them as rough as 5800. They're sensitive phones and very costly. But, you can use Nokia phones like the way you want it to be.

Thanks for your reply I have tryed it. it is not... moreok 2. move all your files from the meomery card including any hidden files to the computer then format the meomery card by the computer then disconcet the phone use it form 1/4 hour refresh music player then put all your files without any sound files on the phone disconcet the phone from computer refresh the music player and make sure every thing is ok and working fine then put the songs on the phone with the same way on the 1st solution and it sould be work if not .the meomery card is croppted . Sorry for my english
