i got 5800 its a very good phone.i'm fully satisfied with it.( n97 is out of my budget 10 months ago) but i suggest n97 mini cos its specs compared to 5800. n97 is a newer production compared to 5800.
n900 also is good just its bulkier than n97 n more xpensive (for me of course)
i not sure about apps for n900(Maemo 5) but for n97(sym60v5) there lots of useful app that can enhanced your n97. with firmware v50 those apps rocks my 5800(sym60v5) cheers

[deleted post]Hi there! I just my 5800 onlY a week ago. N97, 5800 and X6 UI r all similar to each othr. They only differs n internal mem0ry capacity, and i think the ram. Nokia 5800 has 128ram the n97 and x6 could be m0re higher. Also newer m0dels has some added applcati0ns like pdf viewer and quick offce and much m0re. However u can also download those additional app n Nokia OVI.
So likely to say that you r just paying m0re on n97's name and additi0nal applcati0ns. The basic performance is alm0st the same ofcourse u hve to see for urself.
For those freezng problems, yes f ur usng too much app at d same time occasi0nally it cn freeze but n0t all d time! Mine s very stable. I cn open 2-4 app without hvng any problems. Ones u experience problems theres a chance ur ph0ne has a virus. Actually all nokias are prone to virus. That is why i hve UMI antivirus from OVI..
Go for 5800 f u want to save m0ney but it doesnt mean u cn get m0re fr0m n97... It has alm0st the same capabilities. Its only d hardware that differs. Depends on ur preference..

I got this phone a week ago and the resolution Perfect, camera worst, why does E90 has the same specs of camera but photos are great?
is there any way to make the camera shoots like a real 3.2 mega pixel??
my samsung Black JACK has far more greater resolution and it only has 1.3 mega pixel cam.............

ngage works on 5800 but you cant control it coz 5800 dont have keypad.so to use ngage games in 5800 you need to install a virtual keyboard specialized for ngage...and my firmware version now is v60.0.001 but its only v50.0.005 that renamed its called cooked firmware...............

Anonymous, 08 Jun 2010Guys I Need your opinion on this phone's battery life span.... moreoh well, the 5800 second best to the legendary n97 and mini, its a clever phone, majority touch navigation is what most people demand nowadays, its not a perfect phone but its a smart ones, i Wonder if i can use it for hacking lol well its just for an upgrade. What i just wanted to say is that you can expect great features from the latest mobile but rather its limitations beyond your expectations. Technology is growing faster and much high tech in definition. Nothing lasts, you can have it for a while, if you handle it with care and not to over use it.

i think the nokia 5800 price very lower than before...coz the design of nokia 5228 is same to...so my nokia tube like very mid...not high end.
